Just so we're clear, battling an friendly NPC will not result in that Pokemon's death, correct? Protection could still occur, but it would be completely separate from the Friendly Pokemon Battle.
((In other words, the battle would happen, everybody has their health restored, THEN the Protection would begin -- to protect that NPC from Stalker kills.))

Correct?
