    We've hit a bit of a roadblock with all these items, too many things not enough places to put them. Let's go out and do some searching. Why don't I check out the Valley Ruins? (20)

    You approach the Valley Ruins, knowing full-well that this is one of the two available ruins to go scavenging inside. It's not too far from Slippery Park and the Sacred Temple, but the landscape looks entirely different. The ground is much rockier this close to the mountainside, and the ruins themselves are large and might have once looked extravagant. Judging by how old the stone looks and the state of utter disrepair, you gather that the ruins here were probably defunct long before even the cataclysm. You can still see carvings on some of the broken, eroded remains of pillars, but most are obscured by vines and other weeds which have worked to reclaim these parts.

    You begin to search the exterior, keeping an eye out for anything that beckons your attention. There is nothing at first, as fascinating as the ruins are, until you feel a sensation of momentary dread before the ground disappears from under you and you begin to plummet down.

    It's a short drop, and you're surprised when you land with your ears only about a foot short of the hole. However, it's then that you see three pointed arrowheads emerge from the earth around you, and you hear a quiet click!

    Adrian rolls 66% to dodge! FAIL!

    You make a move to dodge out of the way, but as you go to jump, your foot merely crumbles through the uneven earth and you barely move at all. You are struck in three difference places at once, causing you to shout with pain.

    Adrian the Lucario suffers 3 points of Psychic-type Health damage.

    You grimace at the pain and whirl around to ensure no further arrows have appeared. Instead of seeing another trap, you immediately read a message slathered onto the wall before you.

    =Cave Graffiti= was noted in the Team Records.

    Wasting no time, you clamber out of the hole to ensure you are not caught in another hidden trap, and you peer down at your legs. Two arrows protrude from your right thigh, while the third is embedded into your left calf. You brace yourself and tear out each one, tossing them to the side in frustration. You watch as each one ripples with a strange bluish energy before they dissipate entirely. You pause, frowning, and then peer back into the hole. A creeping sensation comes over you as you spot one more arrow sticking out the side of the wall, within arm's reach. The arrow seems to be emanating a foreboding aura, but you brace yourself and wrap your paw around it, yanking it from the earth as some debris trickles down.

    Adrian the Lucario suffers 2 points of Purity damage.

    You cringe as the strange spiritual torment courses through you, but you quickly tuck the arrow away, sure it'll be useful for something.

    [%Malice Arrow% 2P DMG] was added to the Team Inventory.

    You stand up, breathing a sigh of relief that the ordeal is over. You spend some more time searching the area, but come across nothing further. You again wince at your pain, but you're confident that you will be able to make it back to the clubhouse with no troubles.

    Being a preistess, it seems likely that Yasha's abode will have information about various rituals, perhaps even the one I seek...

    [Search (36a) Yasha's Residence]
    You head to Yasha's Residence at the Sacred Temple, spotting her inside the temple through a window as you make your way past. You see that she notices you as you go, her eyes wide with awe as your glowing body passes by. You lose sight of her as you head around to her abode, a small building off the back of the temple. You can see that, although tacked onto the back, it is a separate building and you don't imagine it has an entrance into the temple.

    You manage to fit yourself inside, finding that it is open and does not have any locks. The interior is very minimal, and includes only necessities such as a round bed and a few other pieces of furniture. Sitting on a mantelpiece is a small statue of a lugia, also known as the Lord of Storms.

    You find one means of storage, which is a small filing cabinet. Curious, you reach down to open it, but it does not budge. You attempt to use telekinesis, but the drawer seems to be sealed elementally. You quickly deduce that it seems to need a specific type to open it--one you do not possess.

    {Filing Cabinet: <Dark-type>}

    Finding nothing more here, you leave Yasha's abode, looking left and right after you exit. You have a feeling she might be watching you, but as you look about, you cannot see her. You shrug it off and head back to base, figuring someone else can return with the required power.

    Extracting myself from the strife I've stirred, I go to do my part: with these delicate claws, I will perform the autopsy of Vye the Bisharp.

    Then I will change my Battle Stance to Fight!

    Then finally, off to Rei and Pakki's cave, where I'll Escort Rei the Alolan Sandslash to (54a), the Small House in the Clutch of Decaying Houses, where hopefully, she can disable the {Magical Forcefield: +Ice-type+}

    "I'm with the out-of-towners investigating the business with the Stalkers. I need you to come with me -- err, I mean, I need your help deactivating some kidn of Ice magic, and I thought you'd appreciate... well, it made more sense to ask you to come help me out. I wouldn't ask you to lend your daughter to a stranger."

    "From what I understand, you're more available in the evenings... so I hope I'm not being a hassle asking you to come out here. But it is pretty important. I'm trying to keep the kids alive."
    IF I get time for smalltalk as we hike across the keep, then I'll ask her if her daughter goes to Shila Education and knows Dee'mang, and if Rei herself knows or has any opinions on his caretaker, Samba.

    Truly's Battle Stance is now set to Fight.

    You find Rei at the Training Ground, where she is holding a punching bag in place for another pokémon as they assault it. She is provoking the trainee, but at the same time encouraging them to get a mixture of energy and focus from them. She notices you approach but doesn't move to greet you, instead continuing to hold the punching bag.

    You waste no time and ask for her attention. She seems to be torn between answering you and continuing the training for what you assume is her student, so she compromises by telling you to wait another minute. You do so, after which she gives you her full attention as her student departs. She asks you what she can do for you, seemingly slightly irritated.

    "I'm with the out-of-towners investigating the business with the Stalkers. I need you to come with me -- err, I mean, I need your help deactivating some kind of Ice magic, and I thought you'd appreciate... well, it made more sense to ask you to come help me out. But it is pretty important. I'm trying to keep the kids alive."

    Rei seems to consider your words, and her eyes spark when you mention her daughter. However, after stressing that this task is paramount to the safety of the town, she agrees on the condition that it is fast, and goes to fetch a few supplies.

    The two of you set off and have some time to talk while you're making your way to your destination. You ask her if her daughter, Pakki, attends Shila Educations. She confirms that she does, and asks what the significance of that might be. You bring up Dee'mang and then Samba, enquiring about their relationship and the general nature of Samba. Rei tells you that she only knows Samba by extension, but from what she's seen and heard of her, she is a "lovely pokémon." She expresses that she finds pokémon like her and Miyanta to be noble individuals for adopting young pokémon in need of homes and families. You ask her if she has every heard anything negative about Samba, and Rei frowns a little, unsure what you're trying to hint at. She assures you that she has only ever heard positive things about the oricorio, although Dee'mang has been known to cause trouble at the school at times.

    Before you can really enquire further, you and Rei arrive at your destination. She looks extremely apprehensive about the fact that you, a stranger claiming to be with other strangers from out of town, have brought her to an abandoned set of homes. She looks a mixture of suspicious and interested as her icy spikes gleam in the sunlight and she gives you a small smile, as if this could be a challenge. She asks you which one, and you indicate the one that Mittlee lives at, the smallest one.

    The two of you head inside, where you come to the shimmering barrier described to you by Neo before his demise. The presence feels incredibly unique, and it fills you with a strange sense of calmness. You can see that Rei is noticably more relaxed, and focuses before she unleashes a torrent of icy wind, which strikes the barrier and causes ripples to run across its surface.

    {Magical Forcefield: +Ice-type+}

    It takes a few goes, but she eventually breaks through, and the ice eats away at the parts of the barrier that it struck. Only some remains, but there is an opening more than wide enough for you to fit through. You head on in, following your inner compass until your eyes fall upon a somewhat familiar sight: another talisman half.

    [Talisman 2/2] was added to the Team Inventory.

    Rei asks you what it is, and you simply reply that it is something that will undoubtedly help you rid the town of Stalkers. She seems curious still, but doesn't question you further. She explains that she has other matters to attend to before the daylight dies, and departs. You take a little more time to look around, but find nothing further that draws your attention.

    You hurry back to the clubhouse, where you take the other half of the talisman and pair it with the half you just found. A beam of light sprays from the two halves as they seal themselves together, revealing a circular talisman with a few runes engraved into it, complete with an engraving of a sun in the middle.

    [Talisman Half 1/2] and [Talisman Half 2/2] fused to become [Communion Talisman].

    [Communion Talisman] was added to the Team Inventory.

    Action: Search Imeida's Vegetable Farm
    It was time Old Lace returned to his roots and did some good old fashioned diggin' around.

    You head straight for the vegetable farm that was owned by Meela-Tey the armaldo until she was murdered two nights ago. You know not who now possesses the land, but as you approach, you can see that nobody has yet come to claim it. The crops still look healthy and well on their way to producing a decent harvest, but you don't imagine they will last all that long until they succumb to insects or die of thirst. You know little to nothing about growing crops, so it's hard to tell at this point. What you do know is that this land will need to be searched in order for you to rule out anything untoward in the area, and there is nobody better suited to that job than you.

    You head on into the field, beginning to search through the crops. You dig small holes here and there where the ground looks disturbed, eventually coming upon a small mound of what seems to be plastic. You toss aside the soil and pick up what looks to be a blackened figurine, and as you focus on it, you can see that it looks like an elekid.

    A sharp pain courses through your arm as you drop the elekid reflexively, a sharp yelp escaping your mouth. You freeze up as the strange, dark but electrical energy zips through your muscles, seizing every one as you fight to take back control. Your insides feel like they are constricting repeatedly, and you grunt, trying to shake it off but with little success. The spark dissipates in the centre of your chest, and although you feel no physical pain, your intangible sense of self is shaken, stabbed and shocked.

    Old Lace the Buzzwole suffers 2 points of Purity damage.

    The strange energy finally subsides and you breathe out slowly, feeling control restore itself to your body. You shake your head, frowning at the tiny little burnt elekid and snatch it from the ground quickly, stashing it away in your bag.

    [%Charred Toy Elekid% 2P DMG] was added to the Team Inventory.

    You scour the remaining sections of the field, coming to a resting point when you discover that there is nothing more for you to uncover. You once again give the field a once-over before securing your cowboy hat a little better, then flying back to base with your new gloomy puzzle piece.

    You come upon Rusty Shine Units, a set of buildings you have heard little about aside from the mention of excessive graffiti. You and Arrow head to Rusty Shine Units together, both agreeing to search different parts. The last section can wait for a later date or another person, but for now, Nicklefool is on a mission and he's going to fulfill it.

    The start of your search commences as you scout the exterior of the first few units. At first the only things you really come across are prickly bushes, discarded rubbish, and dark mould caking the brick wall's veins of mortar. Despite the fact that most of the valley that you have seen is relatively dry, somehow these units maintain some level of dankness, which you can only attribute to the close proximity to the nearby pond and branching river. Either that or someone habitually sprays these unit walls with dirty water almost daily. Regardless, you barely find anything beyond the same weedy plants and unclean patches of muck.

    You find nothing of note in the first few units, and it's not until you get to the sixth that you begin to smell something far from right. You first begin to look about in order to identify who the unit belongs to, or who inhabits it, and through some quick sleuthing, you find that it was home to Meela-Tey, the armarldo who was murdered two nights ago. You look around further, eventually coming to the bathroom, where the horrid smell is originating. At first you are hesitant to investigate for fear of what it could be, until you sling aside the shower curtain to see that the bath is partly filled with some kind of d͎͐isgusting clear liquid. Sitting in the liquid is what appears to be three eyeballs, along with assorted other body p̸͚̬͇͇̒arts that make your stomach churn. The sight of the organs and body parts tangles your mind with a sudden assault of confusion mixed with̤̓̾͡ ̞̝̹̼̺̹͇͜fear and disgust, and all at once you are absorbed into your own thoughts.

    The imagery stains your mind, screams of victims echoing throughout your skull as they plead for mercy and be̠̠̺͓̥̜̯ͩ̒ͭ̅̀̎͠g̢̠̝̙̪̘̹̔̐̈́̂̑ͭ̊ for freedom. Hissing and squealing grates at the back of your eyes, pai̟̜͇̪͌͛̍n pooling within your brain as you are unable to shake the thoughts. You can still see, but the o̖̰̳ͯͬͥ̓ͭ́rgans appear to be swirling in a disturb̯͉̗̦̪̞̖̹̀͂̀ͧ̾͒ͨ̋ing fashion, as if they are being mixed together in a pot. The bathtub begins to steam and you are drawn in closer as the heat tickles your chin and the long wads of hair on either side of your head start to singe and curl. Your vision turns black-and-white, then inverse co̖̰̳ͯͬͥ̓ͭ́lours, then everything is painted in r͕̩̞̥͕̼̳͒̊͛ͤed. You look at your hands and they are ḏ̝̍̽̿rìͬ͒ͭͦ͆ͯp̣̤͋piṇ̩͉̪̞̌̄ͪg͕͎ͨ̃̄̂̔ w̨͊͛͗͐it̶͖̟̻͎̽̓̋ͣ̌h b̹̑̽ͨ̈́ḽ̨͖̱͉̺͖ͣ͒̏ͩͦ̒̚oo͇̊̓ͤͥd͎͐

    Nicklefool the Mr. Mime suffers 5 points of Sanity damage.

    Your brain is aching once you finally snap out of whatever had a grip on you for a good moment, and you cringe, knowing that these three eyeballs are a sick ingredient in one of the recipes provided by Indulge, so you hold back from dry-retching as you reach into the tub and retrieve all three, shoving them in your pouch quickly.

    [Eyeball] x3 were added to the Team Inventory.

    You breathe a sigh of relief after you leave the sixth unit, hoping that the next few do not contain anything remotely similar. You steel yourself and head on in to the next one, but the following few do not yield anything interesting or worth noting. Mostly you are glad for this, although you are sure that you could have been able to deal with more if need be.

    You wait for Arrow outside the tenth unit, trying to nurse your pounding headache.
