Pokemon Japan Championships Cancelled

The Japanese Pokemon competitive circuit has been cancelled!
Due to COVID-19, the Pokemon Japan Championships has been cancelled along with the Pokemon competitive circuit in Japan. This is due to health concerns as COVID-19 begins to hit Japan with a strong wave. The Japan Championships would have been held on June 27th and June 28th in Yokohama, Japan. This would have been used to help determine who would have gone to the Pokemon World Championships.
Tournaments in Japan were cancelled earlier in the year due to COVID-19. Though this was the final one that would help determine qualifications for Worlds.
The Pokemon Company in Japan would like to thank everybody involved for their hard work during the season. Though, they had to prioritize the health of fans and staff during this time.
The 2020 International Challenge May online competition will still be held.
