[Search the (40) Memorial Heart Hospital (ABANDONED)]
This morning, you decide to head deep into the Northern Reach and investigate what might be at the hospital. Having heard Aurorawatch wishes there was some way to secure the building’s location, you decide to check it out for yourself to see if there’s something you can do, though right now, you’re not sure what that might be until you head over there.

There’s some dust wafting about in the air this morning, but it’s definitely not like anything it was the days before. You soar high into the air, looking upon the refuge area from above before crossing into the skies above the Northern Reach.

You soon spot the hospital from above, realizing it’s an n-shaped building with a grayish-tan color. As you descend, you notice the cracks that have already been forming thanks to the earthquakes. After softly landing, you start your investigation by first checking to make sure no ghouls are around, and it seems they’ve either not spotted you or your enormous size may have scared them away. Either way, they’re not in the area, giving you some liberty to look around.

You first start your search going around the exterior of the building, noticing that it’s taken some damage from the earthquakes, but the neglect hasn’t been kind to the building either. There’s dirt and dust caked into the outside walls, giving it an obvious look of neglect. What used to be containers for shrubs and places for small trees were overtaken by weeds, which are now all dead. Some of the windows are also cracked and a small percentage of them are broken, but most of them are intact though caked with a thin layer of dust.

You find the body of one scavenger, a Loudred, that went too far and ended up attracting a horde of OMEN infected. With the way her skeletal remains were sprawled out, it looks like she tried everything she could to fight back, only there were just too many of them and them feasted upon her until she died.

You find her backpack with supplies, which looks like it was trampled on, but most of the items inside survived. Of them, you find a Sitrus Berry and a fair amount of money, both of which you add to your pack.

[Sitrus Berry] (Restores all Health) was added to Lycellus’s Pack.

$210 Sochas$ were added to Lycellus’s Pack.

After checking around the outside, once again you realize you’re too big to enter the building, but you investigate each room from the outside, opening each window like you’re a human looking into the rooms of a dollhouse. Most of the rooms are hospital patient rooms with empty beds that haven’t been made since the day OMEN happened. Sadly, a few patient beds have the skeletal remains of a dead Pokémon in them, all victims of OMEN in a different indirect way as the nursing and medical staff had no choice but to flee or die, leaving their helpless patients behind…

You can see why Aurorawatch is interested in this building, as a lot of medical equipment is here, including MRI machines, radiation treatment, and surgical operating rooms are quite plentiful, a lot of which Aurorawatch doesn’t have at their military compound, which you know was only just a hotel a few years ago. Unfortunately, all of it is too fragile and heavy to move, and not without attracting hordes of infected…

A fair amount of medical supplies are here also, some of which are expired, but at a time like this, expired medicine and biologics are better than nothing at all. You imagine Aurorawatch would be interested in the conjunctive hemostats, wound closure sutures, and thrombin sealants as they have nothing like that within the compound to treat injuries. Meanwhile, a lot of the mechanical and energy-based surgical staplers still look like they could be used. Still, unfortunately you’re not able to get your claw in deep enough to recover them when you find them in the supply closets. Many of them are also very fragile and you’d rather not risk damaging them for someone who might need them later.

When you investigate the morgue from the outside, you sense a familiar taint, and it bears the resemblance of a Stalker. When you squeeze your head in to look, suddenly you realize some kind of unholy, sacrificial altar was built here, and it was being used to sacrifice the already dead Pokémon to some dark and unholy purpose.

Upon the altar, you see three grizzly, jagged spikes, all bloody and horrendous. The hideous presence of darkness and mind-corrupting essence wafting from it is almost too much to bear, and you try to pull out, but can’t…

You then notice a horrifying series of wretched, twisted and almost illegible words scratched into the bloody altar itself.

Do yOU knOW WhoSe heaDS ARe oN disPLAy heRE? ThE anSWer iS yoUR heAD. YOuR HeAD. AnD YoUR heAD. aLL yoUR HeADS. YoURRRR HHHHEEEEAAAAADDDDDSSSSSS.

#Infernal Essence (5 Sanity Damage and 5 Purity Damage)# Trap 20% Evasion Test: 28 out of 100: Failed!

It’s grotesque enough to make you want to vomit, and like a dark, deathly mist of black smoke, it gushes from the hideous altar and swarms into your nostrils and your eyeballs to lay an infernal siege to your mind and your soul.

Lycellus has suffered 5 Points of damage to Sanity and 5 Points of damage to Purity

You wretch at the agony it puts you through, but you immediately find a solution. You realize it’s not the altar that’s causing it, but a dark and ungodly effigy of various Pokémon skulls and jagged metal stakes of damnation. You immediately destroy it with your dragonbreath and then cover it with a spare body bag, containing the ashes and the foul presence wafting from them.

The #Infernal Essence (5 Sanity Damage and 5 Purity Damage)# Trap was destroyed and removed through use of Lycellus’s Security.

{Assembly of Heads Sacrificial Altar: Head Mount AND Head Mount AND Head Mount} has been noted in the Team Records.

Finally, after some careful maneuvering, you pull your head out and still try to shake off the dark and infernal hissing in your brain, but it is persistent and still tries to enroot itself into your mind.

You decide to head back to base, just as you hear ghoul screaming in the distance. For now, you’ve found all that you can, and it’s time to go to prepare for tonight’s endeavors.
