Character 1:
Name: Zorayda Anna Moonlin (AKA “Zor”)
Age: 23
Role: Freelancer
Gender: Female
Appearance: Short and curvy, standing at 5’2”, 180 lbs. Zor is not in-shape, though she has a very feminine and pretty figure that is admired by a lot of men. She has medium length, wavy blonde hair and gray eyes framed by thick lashes. She often wears clothing that accents her body because she enjoys the confidence boost from feeling and looking beautiful. However, she can’t run long distances or fight very much without wearing out quickly. She also wears glasses when she remembers to; these are dark, rectangular metal frames that work with her round face. Her skin is pale from a lot of staying out of the sun and reading books when not training Dusk and Viola. She’s also somewhat sensitive about her appearance. A compliment can make her day while an insult could devastate her and make her feel ugly.
Personality: Zorayda is a myriad of different things, but what people see right away is that she’s cheerful and very friendly. Some people would even call it annoyingly perky. She makes friends right away and is very helpful and kind, and treats Pokemon as equals/companions, not as animals or lesser beings. She also has a knack for seeing the bright side of things, which makes people attracted to her subconsciously. Zor is unsure why, but people flock to her to tell her their problems, at which she simply listens and comforts them but usually doesn’t know how to solve them. She has a huge amount of empathy for people and genuinely feels pain and happiness for others.
Under that happy exterior, though, Zor is a deep ocean of emotions. Having had a bad family life, she was brought up to feel guilt for wanting things for herself, and taught to think next to nothing of her own abilities. She pushes aside all of her own needs to grant the needs of others, no matter the cost. Zor acts confident at times, but again it’s mostly all a facade that covers her cripplingly low self-esteem. There are some days when she’s angry at the world and wants nothing but to just cry; this happens at least once a month and sometimes more. However, she only opens her true self to the ones she completely trusts, and through that bond her calmer, more level-headed nature comes out, and she’ll actually tell the truth about what she thinks and not sugar-coat it.
She’s actually very smart in a lot of ways, though her ‘blonde and bubbly’ personality can make that seem unlikely. Like her Ninetales, she has unconventional ways of looking at problems and can make the best of any bad situation. Zorayda is also extremely creative and artistic; she can paint things from memory and she has no problem with visual puzzles.
Zorayda is extremely sensitive to others’ reaction to her. She doesn’t understand when people don’t like her and she takes insults to heart. Compliments make her feel nice temporarily but don’t seem to throw sticky darts in her heart like insults do.
History: Zor’s history is complicated, to say the least. She was born in Goldenrod City in a middle-class home, raised alongside her six-years-younger little sister. Her father wasn’t home very much, being a traveling construction superintendent that went even as far as Kanto, Sinnoh, and Unova. Back at home, however, things weren’t as they seemed. Her mother was controlling and mentally and physically abusive. This is the root of Zor’s insecurities and sorrow as well as her anger and a need for positive attention from others. To strangers, neighbors, and Zor’s friends, her mother was the nicest person on the planet, but behind closed doors her mother could be a vicious, mean-spirited woman. Zor would get out of the house as often as possible while also shielding her little sister from the brunt of the attacks when she could, though it wasn’t hard because Zor was the center of all the negative attention for some reason.
One of these outings was with friends, who traveled to Ecruteak City to visit the Burned Tower and Bell Towers and learn of the legendary myths. Zor felt a heavy rush of despair and sadness when looking at the Burned Tower, something that felt foreign as if it wasn’t her own emotion. It was confusing but she didn’t think much of it, having found Viola as a kit on the southern border of the city. Zor was approximately eleven years old at the time. She was terrified to bring the Vulpix home with her mother there, but her mother simply sneered and told her not to bring Viola inside. So the pup lived in a pen, the best Zor could give her... for about three years.
When ENDoG became a real thing, Zor didn’t know very much about it besides that it was a faction trying to control the disasters that kept happening in the world. She had no idea that they were a bad thing until one day when she witnessed someone’s dear Pokemon undergoing the ‘treatment’. Zor was too young to remember a lot of the disasters, so the fear-induced abuse of Pokemon seemed horrific to her. Though she didn’t know how to do so without suffering penalty, she knew she had to help those poor Pokemon and teach the scared people that they were wrong... somehow. Not much later, she heard rumors of Freelancers, those who opposed the government. Seeing a highly opportune moment to escape her horrible home life and to help the Pokemon, she ran away to find them with her Vulpix.
Years later, she’s now a strong Trainer with two able Pokemon. She hopes to help Pokemon escape with the other Freelancers and to re-educate the public about ENDoG and Pokemon. She also hopes to someday reunite with her sister and keep her safe from ENDoG, though a selfish part of her wants her sister to become a Freelancer and fight alongside her.

-Viola the Ninetales has a Quirky nature. She marches to her own drummer in life; Viola is not necessarily always obedient, but she’s smart and has a way with solving problems in surprising ways. She thinks outside the box and uses her environment to her advantage in battle. The Ninetales is less serious and ‘majestic’ than others of her kind, probably due to being raised around humans since birth. Zorayda found her as a Vulpix newborn. Her mother had hidden her among overgrowth near Ecruteak, when ENDoG’s forces found the mother Ninetales and captured her. The mother’s location is unknown. Zor took the lone kit and raised her as a pet for a long time before becoming a Freelancer. She learned to protect her precious companion’s safety and freedom, training her to become a tricky battler.

-Dusk is Serious-natured, with steel resolve and an incredible work ethic. He’s no attacker, but his bulk and endurance make him a tough shield to contend with. He is highly protective of Zorayda and Viola and would stop at nothing to make sure they were safe. Zor obtained Dusk as a young Eevee. In the Underground, male Eevees were less desirable, and his stoic nature made him unattractive to those who wanted cuddly little foxes. Zor saw his potential and couldn’t help but to pick him up off the Pokemon trader who was trying to give the little guy a new home. He evolved when protecting Viola in a tough double-battle with another Trainer, who had attempted to hit the Ninetales with his Pokemon’s critical-hitting attack. Dusk took the brunt of it and evolved out of the love and desire to protect his fellow teammate and Trainer.
-This Pikachu has recently been caught and has no nickname yet. He is Brave-natured, though, and has chosen to follow Zorayda and help the Freelancer's cause with some convincing from both Dusk and Viola.
Mark: Lugia-Can spawn powerful storms of wind and rain, making it incredibly difficult for any living thing to traverse through. This is activated by powerful emotions and can be stopped when the person is at peace. This person can also breathe underwater.
Signature Move-Aeroblast
Psychic-Your intuition is often right about the future. AKA you can take a guess about what's going to happen and it's vaguely correct. NOT precisely correct. Eg. ‘I know something bad is going to happen around a town with a port’
Flying-More agile than a normal human. More graceful and far more persuasive than normal humans.
Other: She has a Southern accent, picked up from her father.
Character 2:
Jace Allan Timber
Age: 27
Role: ENDoG
Gender: Male
Appearance: 5’11”, 160 lbs. Jace is well-muscled but not a bodybuilder. He has the figure of a surfer with slightly more buff arms due to lots of carpentry when he lived in Ecruteak. He has semi-short black hair, olive skin, and dark green eyes. He wears the uniforms given by ENDoG, though when off-duty chooses to wear collared button-downs and jeans with designer sneakers. He has a tattoo of a tribal-style Luxray on his right arm/shoulder, signifying his first given Pokemon Panja.
Personality: Sharp and a bit tough when in ‘Lieutenant’ mode, but very amiable and friendly when relaxed. He has a very ‘chill’ personality and is easy to relax around. Jace is the kind of guy you would invite to go have a few drinks with and shoot the breeze. ENDoG has worn down his kindness somewhat, though, and he can sometimes be a little harsh or abrupt without intending to be.
History: Jace grew up in Ecruteak around the legends and tales that were told there. His mother died giving birth to him, but he was raised well by his father, a carpenter. Jace learned to become a Groomer when he learned of the trade, interested in making Pokemon happy. He often visited the Kimono Girls’ Eeveelutions to keep them looking beautiful for battles and contests, or just to look good next to the dancing girls.
When ENDoG formed and began to hunt down Pokemon, Jace became concerned about the well-being of people and Pokemon. Older people in Ecruteak began to agree with ENDoG, saying that the Legendary Pokemon were too powerful and caused too many disasters. Not sure if he believed this, Jace remained ignorant of just how cruel ENDoG truly was. Eventually he heard the stories enough to start to see their point of view, and joined their forces to help neutralize threats. He was told that this meant nothing more than harmlessly taking Pokemon’s superpowers away and releasing them to be like ‘normal’ animals in the wild... of course, he quickly found that to be a lie.
He wanted to quit as soon as he saw the horrifying abuse of Pokemon, of Legends being caged in places and dying slowly. He saw the natural disasters that happened BECAUSE of ENDoG, though the older generation were stubbornly set on solving problems this way. But, having signed his life away as a recruit, he was threatened with extreme punishment if he did not obey... some even hinted towards torture. Jace knew he was stuck, but he tries to make the best of things now. He takes things day by day and attempts to earn ENDoG’s trust while figuring out how to help Pokemon and Freelancers in the meantime... without getting caught.

-Panja the Luxray is Bold-natured, fierce and ruthless in battle and sometimes disobedient to his Trainer. This electric lion is noble and strong-willed, resisting a lot of ENDoG’s harsh treatment and refusing to take down Pokemon he deems too weak to fight him. His sense of honor often infuriates other ENDoG operatives when he stubbornly sets his teeth and chooses not to kill a fellow Pokemon. The only reason he hasn’t had his power taken from him is because Jace does his best to keep Panja in his Poke ball when other ENDoG members are around to watch him battle. Panja was given to Jace as a young recruit as the Luxray he is now, since ENDoG didn’t want to spend all that time evolving and training Pokemon and instead caught him wild.
-Gabriel is Docile natured--he humbly follows every order and stays at Jace’s side to protect him from other Pokemon’s and human’s attacks. He doesn’t have the nobility that Panja does, making the lion look down on him in disgust most of the time. Gabriel, however, has the mindset that a Pokemon does what his human companion wishes, no matter what--even if it is unethical. Jace has had Gabriel since he was a Kirlia, but evolved him a few days later with a Light stone. Gabriel works as more of a shield and protector of Jace’s person than anything else.
-Artemis is Brave in nature, though extremely dim-witted like a child. She was forced to evolve as a Magikarp, much like the Magikarp of the Lake of Rage. This resulted in raw, unparalleled power, unnatural and horrifying to watch when she battles. However, it’s somewhat uncontrolled; the chemical used to make her evolve messed with her head, and she’s stuck at a juvenile stage. This can lead to more temper tantrums and rampages than that of normal Gyarados, especially when punished for disobeying. She simply doesn’t understand most of the time; Jace has to use a special scent to calm her down. Jace received Artemis when she was first introduced to the evolving chemical agent. He was able to calm her before she was murdered by the ENDoG for being insubordinate and uncontrollable, and was therefore given the task of keeping her and using her for Pokemon raids. Jace was wearing a specific type of cologne, a scent that the Gyarados has associated with safety, and will only be calmed by that scent anymore.
-Argren is Jolly in nature, though his personality has been damaged by ENDoG abuse. He remains cordial and indifferent to other humans, but with Jace he warms right up. Argren was given to Jace recently when he became Lieutenant, in order to use the bird to Fly from place to place.
Rank: Lieutenant (commands a small troupe of Private-PFC’s)
