You have 24 hours to gather the strongest Trainers!
A new type of Raid egg has been discovered and this threat is unlike anything we’ve seen before. The world of Pokémon GO has a variety of Raid boss eggs; everything from pink and yellow, to Legendary and Mega eggs. Even Ultra Wormholes have been known to appear atop Gyms. But now get ready for Elite eggs!
New Challenger Approaching

These eggs are extremely unique as they will have a 24 hour timer until the Elite Raid Boss appears. At this point, it will be available for thirty minutes before disappearing again. But if that wasn’t enough, there is one more catch, before you can catch it for yourself. Everyone who participates in the battle must do so in person. Remote Raid Passes are not allowed for these intense fights.
Elite Raids will either begin at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., or 5 p.m. depending on when the egg first appeared. This is a great way to better plan out your day so you don’t miss the Raid. The first Elite Raid Boss will be Hoopa Unbound beginning on October 16th. We also know the Elite Raid Bosses will be rotating throughout the Season of Light so be sure to watch out for new threats coming to a Gym near you.
