Bron is fine now and TheoreticalSelkie is in.
Thanks Sabi, just going to slightly change her skill set, specifically the vocal manipulation. Nothing major.

@Lord Celebi
About my recent post, why is it invalidated? I didn't read a thing about there being negative effects, and frankly, it's only if they use it often and continually. Occasional use, which is how it should be used anyway, is not detrimental and I intended to explain this later on. The current test featured bursting more or less every day/week, which is far above the norm of expected use. There wasn't really any mention of it to "bring people closer" to their Pokemon in the whole set up (not that I recall, and I skimmed before posting), and with what Neo was doing about the whole genetic testing thing, I figured it would, logically, have effects on the trainers and Pokemon since it messes with DNA.
If this doesn't work, then none of his posts about the genetic stuff should either because it's "magick". Just pointing this out.

@Grassy_Aggron
Neo has explained how he's creating Chimeras to me and its pure genetics. It's more like Pokemon hybrids from WAR Season V/Cannons to Heaven than it is like Bursting.
Your post pretty much makes it sound like the Pokemon gets traumatized with each use from the get-go as opposed to repeated use until the user eventually becomes something akin to the junkie. Granted, no, I didn't post it in the plot but its what I intended when I wrote it. I don't think Burst Hearts mess with DNA, granted, I really didn't think it through from that perspective. I intended Bursting to be magical/divine. I understand I left a lot of this fuzzy from my initial explanation and this disagreement we're having is what I deserved for not being more detailed in my initial description, but I am uncomfortable with this explanation because I feel like it breaks the core component of this RP.
Perhaps we can compromise if you are adamant on this. What kind of effect were you hoping to have? Let's brainstorm something we both find acceptable.

He'd like to come and meet us, but he thinks he'd blow our minds.
There's a Starman waiting in the sky!
He's told us not to blow it 'cause he knows it's all worthwhile.
Would it be rude to post after the invalidation post, or am I good?

WAR Week 1: Post's 1-69
So interesting week so far... had a hard time deciding on things but that may be a result of me rereading the entire RP and taking notes on it. Please note that everything after Post 69 was not judged for this week because I had a lot of reading and notes to be taking. Yep I'm keeping notes. Don't judge me. I'll keep this short and brief, and I had no idea where else to post this other than here.

I feel like what I've been reading from you is getting progressively better and better. What I thought was just grab n' cash turned out to be something a little more complex. The whole meteorite virus has gotten my interest and I see a lot of potential in it. Could go either way RP wise and I'm interested in seeing more of what comes of it. A ticking time bomb of impact for the story.

I'm getting what I usually expect when you RP. [I hovered a lot back in the old WAR days] Also I've abbreviated Norb in my notes -that were written really late at night- as CAC, or the Crazy AlcoholicCaucasianCharacter. Seriously, that guy. Then you kind of threw that twist at the end so I'm waiting to see what goes on there. Surprise me.

That thing with the Burst Heart experimentation? I liked that post a lot for what it was. You were trying to connect the dots and go in deeper, and I can see that whole premise being used in the future. You were exploring unexplored ground and I was very interested in reading it. [Even if the original was invalidated for reasons, the edited one was still good and yes I'm talking about the edited one] I got a sense of how much time it took to research that information without you posting multiple times, which was nice. I felt inside what was going on.

Spoiler:
Aaaaaand that's all folks.
Name: Karrin "Eye" Fitz
Gender: Female
Age: 29
Team: Team Awesome
Appearance:
The general consensus on Karrin’s appearance is that she’s cute. Not beautiful, not hot, cute. She stands at a whole two inches over five feet, with a soft, round face, baby blue eyes, and an adorable button nose. Her short blonde hair is in a pixie cut. However, those who pay attention will also notice that she has the build of gymnast, all functional ropy muscle along her limbs and torso. She tends to wear jeans and a loose, yellowish shirt made out of a strange material that seems flimsy but is in fact extremely durable.
Personality:
Karrin is best described as being cold blooded. She has emotions, but they tend to take back seats to her logic and pragmatism. She tends to be straightforward, to the point, and entirely without BS. When she gets to work, she becomes clinical and focused on all the parts of the situation that will result in the situation of “death” for anyone on the opposite side of the field, and fitting her stoic, no BS attitude are the tools she uses to get the job done: guns. Lots and lots of guns.
Karrin’s general attitude is one of unbridled cynicism: she thinks very little of the human race in general, herself included. She’s always on the lookout for how someone is going to screw her over, and she doesn’t really trust much at all. Her Pokemon, for the longest time, were her only reliable backup, and she doesn’t have much in the way of human friends. This has turned into a bit of a vicious cycle, where her mistrust makes her more hostile, which makes people more likely to screw her over, which increases her mistrust, ad infinitum. She’s not a very happy woman.
However, there is one exception to her cynicism: Alastair. Alastair gave Karrin hope when she had none before, a little light in the dark of her life. If she was the bitter cynic before, now she is the cynic inspired, the idealist renewed, the most dangerous of followers. She has an absolute loyalty to Alastair, and will protect him and his interests to the best of her ability. She genuinely believes in him, to the point where if she found him asking her to drink the Kool-Aid, she’d only ask if she should down the whole bowl or leave some for the other people. At the time in her life when she saw nothing but destruction, sorrow, and anger, he showed her a beacon of hope, a person in power trying to improve the world, not tear it down for his own gain.
Background:
Karrin was born in Kalos to a single mother and a father she had never heard of, much less met. From a young age, she was one of the downtrodden, the unfortunate, the poverty stricken. At school, she was essentially a pariah; at home, she was neglected by her own mother. She was used to going hungry, to wearing tattered clothes, to being treated cruelly by others. Even when she began Pokemon training, she had to sneak Pokeballs from her native Camphrier Town’s Pokemart, and couldn’t hope to battle to capture Pokemon (her mother had no particular influence to get little Karrin a starter Pokemon, and Mommy certainly didn’t care enough to to try). She had several failures in that particular endeavor before a Honedge took pity on her, and joined her willingly to act as a guardian.
With the Honedge, who was named Shiro, Karrin finally began to catch something of a break. She was young, yes, but she had a small talent for violence. Between her ideas in battle and Shiro’s strength, she captured a Meditite from nearby Connecting Cave, and she even sneaked into Parfum Palace and caught a wild Corphish there. She eventually managed to get away from her situation at her mother’s house, and began a Pokemon journey. But unfortunately, her journey was cut short.
By Team Rocket.
You see, so desperate was Karrin to get out of her situation, and indeed out of Kalos entirely, that she allowed herself to be charmed by a man who was in fact a Team Rocket admin. The admin was in Kalos specifically to recruit young, vulnerable trainers, and Karrin was the ideal mark. The 11 year old Karrin had almost no previous experiences with kindness, and so she fell into his trap. When he offered her "a way out", she leapt on it, and so he took her to Unova as he promised her.
What he neglected to mention was that he was taking her to the Team Rocket boot camp. Karrin managed to wise up and hide her Pokemon from being taken for the admin in charge there, but only just. And the boot camp was otherwise brutal: Karrin learned CQC and thieving from the fact that not learning them meant you were beaten to a pulp and went hungry. But when Karrin was given a gun for the first time, at age 12, she found she had a gift.
Karrin started off quite accurate when she first tried shooting a gun. After about a year of practice, Karrin shooting a gun meant she hither target. Dead center, every time. It didn't matter if she was using a standard pistol, a submachine gun, or a sniper rifle, if the target was stationary or moving, or if she was far away. If she could see it, she could hit it.
Team Rocket immediately put her in the position of making her one of their hitmen (hitwomen?). She didn't contradict them: she couldn't, given that she had no legal identity in Unova or Kanto or Hoenn and certainly couldn't go back to Kalos. Besides, by the time she had the ability to try to effect an escape, she was already a murdress, so she saw no way but forward. She captured other Pokemon on her travels, but that was just about the only upside to the whole thing.
Her luck didn't seem likely to change, but there was one little thing that spiraled into a cascade of breaks for her. When she was 18, she was assigned to protect a building Team Rocket was using for a Pokemon mill. However, while guarding it, she noticed a ten year old discreetly trying to free a pair of Pokemon. Normal Team Rocket procedure would have been to shoot on sight, child or no. But Karrin's conscience stayed her hand, and instead of shooting at the child, she made a big commotion in the part of the compound opposite him.
What Karrin did not know was that sparing the incognito Alastair Harper was pretty much going to win her the karmic jackpot a few years down the line.
When Karrin was 25, she heard whispers of movements against Team Rocket. At first, she dismissed them as rumor, but that changed when she was alone in her room one night, and a Froslass simply...appeared. Karrin was ready to shoot or send her Pokemon, but the Froslass was not hostile. Instead, Karrin (very cautiously) followed the Pokemon to a private area (while making sure she had her Pokemon backing her up). And who should appear but the child she let go seven years before?
While Karrin was choking in sheer shock of recognition, Alastair spilled the beans to her. He talked about how he was going to uproot Team Rocket and destroy their influence. How he needed someone who would help him to the end, who would be both loyal and intelligent. He pointed out how they forced her recruitment, and how they did that to countless others, and how that couldn't be allowed to happen any longer. And so he was trying to get her support.
Karrin's first question to him was "So, when exactly can I resign from them?"
It took Alastair about a week to make the arrangements. He mentioned the possibility of keeping her on as a covert asset, but she was having none of that. Instead, he arranged for her to make some very public distraction as she left Team Rocket. He put her in contact with three other grunts wanting to leave the organization, and allowed them to build a rapport.
And so, a week later, Karrin led the other grunts into... Resigning. The building was a wreck, the admin in charge was killed along with several grunts, the valuable assets the building was there to protect was rendered rather unusable to the Rockets. When Karrin regrouped with the other grunts, she found she was glad no one on their side was permanently hurt. For the first time in her life, Karrin had human friends.
Alastair had the absolute loyalty of Karrin and her friends at this point. He bailed them each out of horrible situations with Team Rocket, and they were made closer to one another in tests blood and fire. He gave them all people who would absolutely watch their back, and gave them the ability to wreck the enemy who had made their lives hell for years. They became an absolute terror, christened "The Turncoats" by Team Rocket. Yes, their lives are still violent and brutal, but they had friends in each other and a boss who actually gave a damn about them.
Pokemon:
Aegislash (Shiro, M)
Togekiss (Thomas, M)
Medicham (Sigrun, F)
Galvantula (Elaine, F)
Crawdaunt (Lara, F)
Arcanine (Mouse, M)
Other: Yes, Karrin is "Jiggly" from Homura's post, and the other people on the boat are the three grunts who betrayed Rocket with her. “Fatso” is Henry “Muscle” Jones, “Stick” is James “Brain” Marsters (“No, I’m not a vampire, where did you get that idea?”), and “Beard” is David “Tongue” Weil. They’re NPCs (albeit rather significant ones), so they’ll probably get more fleshing out as time goes on. But their nicknames are names they decided on for one another. And their nicknames all are pretty clear on their capabilities.
