And today we have….Billy from Delve Into the Dex: A Pokémon Taxonomy to talk about podcasting and everything in between!
So what does Delve Into the Dex: A Pokémon Taxonomy have to say about…
What type of podcast do you have? Why do you make the type of podcast that you make?

Billy: Comedy podcast that looks at Pokémon from a real world Taxonomy standpoint. We have an actual Biologist that knows too much about real and fake animals.
What drew you to the Pokemon franchise?

Billy: A mix of the colorful/vibrant world and designs, juxtaposed with some of the stupidest lore you could imagine.
What inspired you to podcast?

Billy: We knew we wanted to do a podcast together, and Dan teaching Kayla about Pokémon was an idea all three of us saw the most potential/fun in.
What keeps you going when it comes to podcasting and Pokemon?

Billy: Truly you never know what the franchise is capable of. Some Pokémon are hidden gems, while other Pokémon are just a bird.
What kind of feeling do you wish your listeners to have when listening to your podcast?

Billy: Baffled amusement.
What is the hardest part when it comes to podcasting?

Billy: The boring logistical answer is scheduling.
What has been the best Podcast moment you have had?

Billy: Kayla once guessed that Excadrill’s name was Tillbro, and three of us went on a strong tangent pitching new story ideas for a fake TLC show named “The Till Bros”.
One time I finished playing the Scarlet & Violet DLC, went to bed, and woke up 2 hours later to deliriously host an episode about that DLC.
If you can suggest an episode of your podcast to a new listener, which episode would it be? Why?

Billy: The name of this episode (The Physical Embodiment of What’s Wrong With Our Planet) just got me to chuckle, and I remember the conversation about Grimer being very interesting. It’s a solid episode that stays true to what the show is about and doesn’t veer to much into the wilder episodes we’ve had (like an episode where we reviewed the Pokemon Christmas album).
