Usually only the standard two, but in the Emerald I just failed I only allowed myself to capture Pokemon introduced in the third generation. I add more rules if I want a bit of difficulty or excitement - I'm planning to Nuzlocke Emerald, Pearl, Platinum, Black and White 2 - perhaps I'll add crazier rules in Pearl and White 2. How about you?

Emerald is particularly difficult due to lack of good training spots. >.< This time around I'm vowing to kill 10 wild Pokemon per route per Pokemon in the party in order to ensure levels are high enough.

I can feel the run going a lot smoother this time. I've got a lot more Pokemon at a higher level because I stopped being so lazy. :P

Marshtomp basically flattened Roxanne, so now I'm on my way to Dewford and Brawley. :)
