Time to become a champion!
We finally know the release date for Pokemon Champions. Soon you can start your journey to becoming a Pokemon Champion.
You will be able to start training and battling in Pokemon Champions on April 8th 2026.
Video Game Championship Details


Details regarding when players can use Pokemon Champions on the VGC scene have also been revealed. Pokemon Champions will be used for the first time on the competitive VGC at Indianapolis Regional Championships from May 29th to 31st.
The next chance players will have to earn Championship Points using Pokemon Champions will be at the North American International Championships from June 12th to 14th.
Though, there will be many other opportunities for players to play competitively using Pokemon Champions. Below are the different opportunities players will be given the chance to battle with Pokemon Champions.

  • Global Challenge I from May 1st to 4th
  • Side Events at Regional Championships in April and May
  • Friendly Events at Play! Pokemon Stores
  • Summer Friendly Tournaments at Play! Pokemon Stores

None of the events listed above will not award Championship Points.
Pokemon Champions will be used at the Pokemon World Championships from from August 28–30.
After that, Pokemon Champions will be used at all future Organized Play events in the 2026-2027 season. This will start on September 1st, 2026.
The format used for all the CP earning events will be Regulation M-A.
