    mmo? MMO!

MMO's. Talk. What do you play? What have you played? What's your favorite? Tell us a little about your characters and experiences. Do you have screenshots? Stories? We'd like to hear them.

    For me...

I've played too much World of Warcraft than good for any human being. So many hours... My main is a Blood Elf Paladin.

Played Rift as well. Was great fun =D High Elf Mage rules.

I absolutely love Tibia. Sorcerers unite!

Currently playing The Elder Scrolls Online. Enjoyed it the first couple days but stopped due to lack of time, decided to give it another go. Altmer Nightblade of the Daggerfall Covenant =)

I used to play World of Warcraft (main was a human rogue), but I pretty much played it out and lost my interest in it. After that, I got into a free MMO called Eden Eternal, and I liked that for the fact you would dress up your character in so many varieties of ways, but the costume pieces were extremely expensive (even the ones that were just for aesthetics and didn't add to any stats). I also tried the Final Fantasy: Realm Reborn MMO, but I didn't like it all that much. Combat felt really slow and even leveling in the beginning took a while, so I could only imagine how drawn out the process would be around level 50 and beyond.

Haven't played any MMOs for a while now, though. Just haven't really found any that wowed me.

Well... yeah, it does count I reckon =O

I'm not much into CS, but since it is online... and also multiplayer... on a massive scale... (some might even say... Global )...

    Yeah it's an MMO =D

So what is it really? Just an online multiplayer arena? Kill or be killed? XD

@Neo: In my opinion, the Final Fantasy series has been dying a slow, painful death over the last couple of years anyway. To me, the MMO didn't even LOOK appealing or seem interesting whatsoever to get me into it.

It's a shame, because I liked the way Final Fantasy used to be: turn-based combat with more emphasis on the tactics and strategy of the fight rather than quick button mashing and ability spamming. That, and the fact summon spells each had their own mini-movie of a creature coming forward and blasting the stuffing out of your enemies. I loved that!

The Final Fantasy Realm Reborn MMO wasn't BAD, but it definitely was not worth a monthly subscription fee and even if it was for free, I've played free MMOs that were honestly more fun and easier to get into. That, and it honestly didn't feel that much like Final Fantasy to me. Save for the occasional appearance of a Moogle or Chocobo, it could have been a totally different MMO and I wouldn't be able to tell.

I really liked Eden Eternal, but they locked up my account after I was inactive for a few months and I wasn't able to contact them to unlock it. That was a fun MMO, but the only drawback with that one was it involved a lot of luck stuff and kept tempting me to spend money on it to get better gear. I did put some money into it though (figured the devs have to support themselves with something, and money would help contribute toward the game getting better).

I was a Runescape man. Probably clocked up about 90 days on it. Can't say I play any any more though. I waste my time on Civilization V instead.
    Completing Generation III

Haha, 4X strategy games will do that to you, I remember once starting up a "quick" game of Age of Wonders 3 and suddenly it was 4 AM and everything was wtf.

Eden Eternal is one of those games from Aeria Games that I could never really get into sadly. I've tried many of them, but just couldn't pull through with any of them. XD
And yeah, "pay 2 win" games, not really something I prefer xP

Yeah, unfortunately Eden Eternal is one of those MMOs where if you have a blank check, the game is your oyster. And there were plenty of players there that were obviously dumping a LOT of money into that game. But even so, you could still get considerably deep into the game even without spending money, but it was a tougher road. You sure weren't going to have too many costume items and you'd pretty much have to grow to like the silly alpaca mount they give you by default.

What I loved about that game was being able to take down hordes of enemies as the Samurai class while dressed like an angel (and that game had a truckload of great-looking angel wing costume pieces). Something about an angel samurai with epic riot-control AOE powers just seemed awesome. World of Warcraft never had anything like that.
