Pious Odyssey
Synopsis: Evolia, a secluded continent whose culture is made unique by the Hallowed One, a single eevee chosen each generation charged with the duty of retaining peace in the world. Nine years ago though, he dissapeared. So when Iskander is invited to travel across Evolia and the group runs into the next chosen, the ensuing adventure is one that will change their lives forever.
Hello everyone, before you start reading, I'd just like to start off by saying... hi! As well as maybe clarifying and giving more insight into this story. Pious Odyssey is a story that I started planning back in August of 2014, and over the course of 5 months I on and off spent time planning. I've tried to put as much thought into the story as possible, my notes and such reaching a staggering 36,000 words/ 88 pages. This is because while I have no intention on ever writing professionally, I'm pretty set upon creating a literary work that shows how much this story means to me. I really want this to be something for many to enjoy, and to create something that stands out from most other things you may read in the Pokemon fandom.
Because I value the idea of creating a high quality story, I value the idea of receiving constructive criticism. I would hate to ruin my own story just because of my sub-par writing skills or inability to properly articulate certain story-telling elements so if there is anything that you see that really just bugs the crap out of it, tell me. I won't be offended. I've played games with some of the most toxic communities ever, I've been called many things that aren't appropriate enough to be mentioned on these forums; just go nuts. Alongside that, if there's something that you think is the most amazing thing you've ever seen and you want to tell me how awesome I am and that my writing could bring tears to even the most stone hearted person, mention that too! I know what a great person and writer I am, but it doesn't hurt to hear it from others as well!
...Okay that last part was obvious sarcasm, but if you do see something that you like, but more importantly dislike, mention it. I've never written informal pieces of work before, so this whole thing is a learning experience for me!
I won't ramble any more than that, so without further ado, I present thee fine sir and or madam, Pious Odyssey!
Next on the to-do list: rough drafting the next (few) chapter(s).
