    Classes
Those who embark on quests posses many different skills, weapons and abilities that set them apart from their peers. The amalgam of these traits are called classes, and each class is pretty unique and interesting. They vary greatly. From those who sing song that aid their allies in battle, to those who invent crazy contraptions to do their bidding, classes can get pretty gnarly when you get right down to it.

Swordmaster - Probably the simplest and most straightforward class, the Swordmaster is unrivaled when it comes to, well, swords (and other melee weapons). Usually seen wearing little to no armour, Swordmasters use their high offence and speed to open their enemies up. They're quite common, and one of the most numerous classes seen in Gaia.

Mage - Those who study ancient tomes and practice the arcane arts are Mages. These men and women have become quite common since the Age of Evil began and the quest for the Lightsworn Sword became the hot topic. They use powerful spells to strike down their foes. Most study elemental magic, but Mages have been known to study all over the arcane spectrum, from druidism to necromancy.

Genius - Smart people! Those who let advanced technology do the fighting for them. They assemble powerful, awe-inspiring weapons. They construct machines of immense power. They keep the world moving forward. They are the incarnation of innovation.

Knight - Guardians of peace who wear heavy armour and wield greatswords. They use defensive magic to bolster their physical combat capabilities. Slow, but not cumbersome. However, their powerful defensive magics make the Knight a force to be reckoned with.

Dragoon - Like a "Heavy Knight". Slow to the point of being cumbersome, but their long spears and lances can keep an enemy at a distance. They are most often mounted on horses and use their higher-standing position to bolster their offensive power. Capable of using magic which is most often defensive, like healing.

Royal - A special kind of class. They, alongside Knights, guard royalty and dignitaries using their access to the powerful celestial magic grid. This class is dripping with secrecy.

Bard - A singer, a poet. They go by many names. Whatever you call them, they use their musical talents to aid their allies.

Monster Tamer - Pretty simple. Tamers use other creatures as their weapons. Most are focused on a single type or "family" of creature, however there are a growing number who diversify their team. Tamers are rarely seen in Gaia, and when they are, they always turn out to be new to the art. It is said that the first Tamer was an adventurer who quested for the Lightsworn and was defeated in battle by one of the Dark Lords.

Trap Master - Probably the most fun class (other than Adventurer). Rather than fight directly in a 1-on-1 battle, the Trap Master lures their enemies to them whilst putting traps in their path, keeping themselves out of harm's way. Supposedly the least versatile, but the safest. Many junior adventurers start off as either Trap Masters or Swordmasters.

Sentinel - Guardians. Protectors. Peacekeepers. The Sentinels are the behind-the-scenes keepers of the order of magic. Legend has it that they're the ones who created the Lightsworn, and that they've been waiting 10,000 years for the Hero of Light to make themselves known. With their powerful End Magic, they keep magic aligned and protect those in need from the evil forces who would do the innocent harm. The Sentinels are the stuffs of legend. The kinds of heroes one can only dream about. They operate in complete and total secrecy. Few have ever seen them, and fewer will ever live to tell the tale.

Adventurer - A jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none class. They have skills from all other classes, but only particularly shine in a couple (like Swordmaster). An Adventurer is a seasoned or career quest-taker, and as such they are usually well-travelled, cultured and diplomatic. The Age of Evil has seen a decline in Adventurers as barely anyone quests for the Lightsworn Sword these days, having lost hope in the tale.
