Altea was listening intently while they walked. It seemed there were all sorts of obscure cultures and secrets in the world. This was the first time she'd heard of trainers called 'shadow trackers' and a village where those permitted to leave were never accepted back. She absent-mindedly looked down while thinking about how lonely it would be to lose her home.

"How could anyone be so heartless," she grumbled quietly, a sad look on her face.

Just then Max interrupted her train of thought, pointing to an apparently unremarkable area jutting off from route 5.

"Are you sure there's a village here?" She asked quizzically, unable to imagine how anything could possibly be live there.

However, everyone sounded eager to catch an electric type, and Max looked confident, so Altea nodded, pushing her doubts aside.

"If you say so! It's not too far from Cerulean City; we'll be there before you know it," she said, folding up the map and giving it back to Max.
