Carwennan, seeing that Max and Misty were on their way out of the water, stood up and trotted back to Sloane's side. Parashu jumped up, not noticing Carwennan's running off until a minute later. Carwennan nudged Sloane's shoulder with her snout. The young trainer mumbled something in her sleep and swatted Carwennan away. The houndoom gave Sloane an unamused look and nudged Sloane harder. Sloane didn't move this time. Carwennan began to growl but Parashu stepped in. He moved back a little, then turned into a ball, rolling into Sloane as lightly as he could.

"Ah!" Sloane covered her head as Parashu hit her head. "Not cool! I'm sleeping!" Carwennan growled and pointed her tail to Max and Misty, visible in the distance. Sloane sat up and rubbed her eyes. "They're leaving?" The words set in and Sloane jumped to her feet. "They're leaving! Hey! Wait!" Sloane ran off to catch up with them, leaving everything behind. "Houndoom!" Carwennan grabbed Sloane's journal, walking stick, and pen while Parashu grabbed her bag. They began to chase after her as they all ran down the hill to meet Max and Misty.
