There's that xD
I was also thinking that since Traverse Town is made up of what's left of other worlds lost to darkness, its heart could be in a state of constant change--thus making it very difficult to lock.

If I recall correctly from lore, Traverse Town is a world that appears when people need it. It's whatever it needs lost people to be, so it being in an everchanging state makes some sense. I would imagine only people with strong ties *coughkaidencough* could go back and forth between there. Also Sora/Riku have locked Traverse Town like, three times?
Well, there you go xD
Hmm, what Sabi said about Traverse Town might actually make for a good story plot point later...
BTW, don't know if I've said this before, but I'm looking forward to RPing with you guys! ^^ (we just need to get our SU's done xD)

Alright, so....
I think I'm gonna have to push this now, guys--this SU's been up for a little over a month now, and we should probably get the actual RP started. I'm going to shoot for next Sunday, if possible. Reserves, if you're not sure you can get your SU's done by then, you can go ahead and post what you got, and we'll discuss other details if needs be. Thank y'alls :)

Holy gosh these took waaaaaay longer than I expected. May edit in colored versions of the pics later/if needed.
Name: Kokoro "Koko" Maimi
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Alignment: Light
Rank: Apprentice
Appearance:
Spoiler:
Kokoro stands in at about 5'7", and is covered in lightly defined muscles hidden by clear skin that appears to hold a permanent tan. It's usually her expressive blue eyes that tend to win people over, though combined with her mid back length, chocolate colored hair, she's a relatively pretty girl overall. Koko's known for wearing a white camisole under a blue sleeveless hoodie with a pair of jeans that has definitely seen better days. Hiding away most of her legs is pair of white boots that lace up to her knees in combination with a kind of pale blue half skirt she wears belted and knotted at her right hip that reaches just past her knees on her left side, which has a perfect, single, small heart shape cut out of it at the bottom.
Personality: Kokoro is a rather cheerful and friendly young lady with plenty of energy to spare. There doesn't seem to be a shy bone in her body, as she's the kind of girl who is willing to start conversation with any random passerby. Despite her age, she often maintains a very soothing, almost motherly presence outside of practice, which is most obvious in the way she treats her constant companion, though she'll act like a mother towards anyone who will let her. That being said, Kokoro is incredibly loyal to those she calls friends, and the compassionate mother side of her personality gives way to fierce protective instincts when they are in danger, and has lead her to hate bullies. She also has a dislike for liars, but that's more connected to her Keyblade's ability to alert Kokoro to the fact that someone is consciously lying to her...through pain. Those that knowingly lie to her are quickly met with a very strong and very stern "Do not lie to me," that may even seem a bit out of character for her if you don't know her very well.
History: Kokoro was born the single child of two very loving parents in the world known as Radiant Garden. While her father worked as an assistant for a local shop, her mother worked as a receptionist for a local doctor, and young Kokoro practically grew up playing and helping around the doctor's office. As she grew, she became very good at telling truth from lies, and developed her motherly tendencies there, which is why when a strange little boy appeared before her in a flash of light when she was eight, she immediately laid claim to him.
In reality, after several attempts to wake the boy (who had fainted upon his arrival) with no success, Kokoro practically begged her mother for help getting the boy to the doctor. From there, he remained unconscious for a week, and Kokoro spent all the time she could with him--talking, reading, playing music, occasionally falling asleep... By the time the boy, who eventually came to be called Kumori, woke, he had made a lifelong friend without ever saying a word. While he seemed confused at first, he eventually warmed up to the idea and began to follow Kokoro everywhere, as well as cling to her, particularly when upset. He had no memory of life before waking up in a room in the doctor's practice, but Kokoro didn't let this bother her--instead she set about teaching her newfound friend what she could, and otherwise doing her best to help him. Things went on like this for some time, and then suddenly, everything changed.
One day, Radiant Garden was the same as always, the next, it was a shadow of its former self. Kokoro, her family, and Kumori all escaped to Traverse Town, however they might not have made it without the boy. The night before, Kumori had woken up Kokoro, claiming he'd been kept awake by whispers, and insisted they wake her parents and leave. Initially, Kokoro dismissed this as a nightmare, which Kumori often had, though upon further insistence, she finally listened...right before the panic and the screams of horror started. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning. Once in Traverse Town, where the creatures known as Heartless began to appear frequently, Kokoro and her family watched as Kumori became more reserved, and almost terrified of leaving the house, and had episodes in which he wasn't exactly himself. Kokoro attempted to do what she could for her friend, but there was little she was capable of doing, aside from being there for him. At least, until she and Kumori ran into a peculiar pair of women with silver hair who used keys as weapons.
It had been a particularly bad day--Kokoro had had to beg Kumori to let her leave the house in order to go grocery shopping, and when he realized there was no stopping her, he insisted on going along. Somewhere during the trip, the boy noticed Heartless, and practically dragged Kokoro in the opposite direction before being stopped by the appearance of more of the creatures...and a pair of women fighting them. After they had eliminated the Heartless, Kokoro approached with Kumori in tow to thank the two for defeating the creatures and saving them, and this decision would change their lives forever. Masters Xin and Xaya knew something was different about the pair of children immediately, and closer inspection on Xaya's part revealed a girl who contained a strong light, and a boy who was slowly losing his heart to darkness that wasn't his. Where many other Masters would have shunned the boy, or even destroyed him, Xin and Xaya instead decided to offer the power of the Keyblade to both the children. Kokoro jumped at the possibilities this offered, secretly harboring the hope the Keyblade or the Guild might be able to help Kumori's condition. The pair were not recruits long before it was very apparent that Kumori attracted attention from Masters...and not all of it was good. Luckily they also didn't have to wait long before Masters Xin and Xaya appeared again, this time to take the pair under their wing as Apprentices. The twin Masters treated Kokoro and Kumori much like their own children, and began to lead Kokoro and Kumori through training centered around the idea of balance. The two now fight better as two halves of a whole than they do separately.
Keyblade: Truth Seeker (pictured)- A longer Keyblade that provides slight boost in attack, it also has alerts Kokoro when people are consciously lying to her...through pain. The more a person lies to her, the more pain she feels. She also has a knack for ice magic.
Other: Apprenticed with Kumori to the twin Masters Xin and Xaya
Name: Kumori (last name unknown)
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown, estimated to be 17 or 18
Alignment: Light
Rank: Apprentice
Appearance: Standing a head taller than his best friend, Kumori easily stands out in crowds, despite his best efforts to stay "invisible." His attempts are further dashed by his incredibly pale skin, messy hair the color of freshly fallen snow, and honey colored eyes, which tend to attract notice even among the incredibly diverse members of the Keyblade Guild. Despite his odd features, Kumori dresses surprisingly normally, usually wearing a simple grey t-shirt and a black hoodie along with a pair of well-worn and faded blue jeans and a beat up pair of black sneakers. The only notable feature of the hoodie is that it bears a messily stitched on piece of pale blue fabric in the shape of a heart on the left side chest area, a feature added by Kokoro herself.
Personality: Where his best friend Kokoro is outgoing and friendly, Kumori is almost painfully shy, and it's obvious in how he often tags along after Kokoro wherever she goes, but tries to hide behind the shorter woman when she starts up conversations with others. Provided you take the time to try, you can earn his trust and friendship, but most give up. They also miss out on having a very loyal and protective friend in doing so. Kumori would do almost anything for those he considers friends (right now, just Koko and their Masters), but he's incredibly reluctant to let anyone new close to his heart, likely because it's a rather...scary place. What his shyness hides is an unstable heart that's been halfway taken by darkness...against Kumori's will. This has resulted in a kind of unwanted second personality, one that simply wants to destroy everyone and everything, that sits in the back of Kumori's mind, waiting for the chance to take over.
History: The first memory Kumori has is of darkness and pain, pain so strong that it took over his world, consumed it. The second he has is waking up in an unfamiliar room with an unfamiliar girl singing an unfamiliar song. While he didn't recognize the girl, he immediately felt he could trust her, a feeling that soon proved itself right as he was introduced to life again, with the girl, Kokoro, almost always at his side. While the adults around him offered help, it was Kokoro who Kumori often found helping him before he knew he needed help, let alone knew to ask for it. It was this, and that initial trust that led Kumori to cling to Kokoro, sometimes literally.
If fate had been kind, Kumori would have eventually learned from his best friend, and likely would have become a little more outgoing, made more friends. He might have been the kind of guy everyone loved, and spent his days in happiness and warmth. Fate, however, was not kind. Despite Kokoro and her family's never ending kindness and patience, darkness was worming its way into the boy's heart, not that Kumori knew or welcomed it. The intruder manifested itself in many forms--in nightmares and phantom whispers, in unbidden thoughts, and unexplainable chest pain, all of which Kumori struggled (and often failed) to hide. Kokoro became a barrier between her best friend and people as he grew more and more shy, and she became accustomed to Kumori crawling into bed with her after his frequent nightmares.
Which is why, much to Kumori's dismay, Kokoro didn't quite believe him when he woke her one night, insisting that they wake her parents and leave. Through the past week, the voices had been getting louder, stronger, grown drastically in number, and now they were hungry. It wasn't until he began to edge towards complete hysteria that she finally caved and they went to wake her parents...just as the screams of terror started, and the voices that were once whispers became a roar.
While Kumori escaped with Kokoro and her family, however, he was completely changed. This new world they ended up in, Traverse Town, was inhabited by a small but steady population of creatures called Heartless by those who lived in it. They were dangerous, and while that was apparent in their actions, there was something…else there. At least, for Kumori, there was. He seemed to know when they were coming, and something about them terrified him. Soon he found difficulty in bringing himself to leave the house, even with Kokoro--even for Kokoro. Of course, it was a day in which Kokoro practically dragged him out of the house that changed their lives forever.
He knew they were coming. The whispers in his head grew louder and louder, and it wasn’t long before he couldn’t ignore it, and took his turn dragging Kokoro away from the area…only to fall in the path of another group of Heartless. Much to his surprise, however, they also encountered a pair of silver-haired young women who were fighting off the Heartless with strange weapons shaped like Keys. Once the Heartless were gone, Kokoro took the lead and approached the women in order to thank them.
Keyblade: Glimpse of Darkness
Note that Kumori is extremely bad at using magic--if he can even manage to pull off casting a spell, it's very weak in power., something that absolutely perplexes Master Xaya after working with him on it for quite a while now.
Other: Apprenticed with Kokoro to twin Masters Xin and Xaya
Name: Synna Bard
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Alignment: Dark
Rank: Apprentice
Appearance:
Spoiler:
At 5'6" Synna Bard is hardly the tallest Member of the guild, nor is she the heaviest. While she appears surprisingly slim and...well, unused to battle or training, don't let it fool you--she's a formidable foe. Her long, smoky black hair is almost never seen out of its neat bun piled atop her head, and it's just as rare to catch a smile on her lips. Her rusty brown, almost red eyes are always observing and calculating, which often drives other students away from her, not that Synna minds--she'd just as well work alone.
Synna is typically seen wearing a large black cloak that reaches her knees, and bears a series of grey lotus outlines along the bottom, as well as a silver lotus decoration at the neck. This usually hides her collection of shirts that look like old dresses that have been separated from their skirts, and are instead paired with slightly baggy grey pants, the ends of which disappear into mid-calf length black combat boots. While this may sound odd enough, the combination works out surprisingly well, much to Synna's secret pleasure.
Personality: Synna isn't exactly the kind of person most would think of as pleasant--she's about as warm as an ice cube and severely goal-oriented. She doesn't really focus on making or keeping friends, and often regards other people as tools to be used, though she does respect authority, so long as she feels it's well-placed. In fact, she's much more at home in a quiet area, reading through books, usually tied to magic. Synna also has a desperate need to prove she's better than everyone else at everything she can, though it actually pushes her to make choices that prevent her from reaching her full potential. She may also suffer from survivor's guilt, but there's no way she'll ever admit it, and has a near obsession with keeping things organized that most think was either learned from or fed by her Master.
History: Synna was born into a world where things such as seven-league boots and cloaks of invisibility actually exist, and it's a great misfortune to be born the eldest of three. Luckily (and a bit unluckily), she was born the middle child of the three children of the Bard family, which meant she was not doomed to fail first and worst when setting out to seek her fortune, as her older sister would. It did, however, mean she was often looked over in favor of her younger brother, who would surely succeed in finding his fortune. Growing up, she hardly thought it fair that her brother should get all the glory in life simply for having been born last, while her eldest sister had long resigned herself to their fate.
Synna was saved from being overlooked completely as a child through books. She had always loved books, especially storybooks, and was constantly finding new ones to read, until she accidentally discovered a spellbook one day, along with the fact she had a knack for magic. With this discovery, her parents sought out an apprenticeship for her with a local wizard. This, however, could have gone far better, as Synna felt she was forced to compete for Wizard Arthur's attention...with his adopted son. The boy was only a few years younger than her, and considered a bad omen to everyone who knew of him; both his parents having passed on in a short time after his birth, and marked by several odd features. Some believed he was simply bad luck, others a demon, among several other things. Regardless, Wynn Heath was to be avoided like the plague, and due to an old friendship with the child's parents, he was Wizard Arthur's adopted son. The man seemed to adore the boy, and often tried to force Wynn and Synna together in a misguided attempt to start a friendship. This backfired. Terribly.
Because Synna had often been overlooked in favor of her younger brother, she felt she was competing with Wynn for Wizard Arthur's attention (though he treated both like his own). This lead to the development of a superiority complex when she discovered through experience that Wynn was terrible at working magic. She did her best to ignore the "useless" boy without upsetting her mentor, and often put Wynn down when forced to interact with him. Her hatred of him built up over the years until it finally snapped... And the day she told Wynn Heath how useless he was and how much she hated him was the day her world was lost. The last thing she remembers is being surrounded by black creatures before waking up in the streets of Traverse Town. As far as she knows, she is the only one who escaped her world.
But she has hope. After being taken in by a mage from another lost world, who taught her some of his magic as well, and beginning an apprenticeship under him, she was sought out by a Seeker, and brought into the guild. Her still-remaining determination to stand out and be the "most successful" at seeking out her fortune, as well as remnants of her hatred for Wynn brought her to the attention of those Keyblade wielders who were more fond of the Darkness. This was also when she began to catch glimpses of a young man who looked astoundingly similar to Wynn...but older. When it was time for her to become an Apprentice, it was a Dark-allied Master who took her on...and convinced her that it would be possible to bring back her world, if only she could learn how to control the Darkness. Convinced this would cement her place as most successful of her siblings and impress Wizard Arthur, Synna is determined to learn and master control of the darkness. She's also determined to rid herself of the "phantom" Wynn she's been seeing for years.
Keyblade: Grimoire (pictured)- a medium length Keyblade that provides a large boost to its users magic abilities. While capable of using almost all basic magic, Synna excels in the use of fire and lighting magic, and is fairly good at using dark magic.
Other: Crazy chick is crazy, is apprenticed to one Master Astrid Kain. If anyone knows what world Synna is from, I will love you forever
Huzzah! :D The triumphant heroes return (plus one)! Glad to have them back! (Also interested in seeing how Synna and Vanessa get along xD)
Accepted!
It should be noted, though, that Kaidan also comes from Radiant Garden and also lived in Traverse Town for a few years. Would they perhaps know each other?
Also, as a side note, I might not actually be able to get up the RP until Monday (or Tuesday?) Going on a family trip ^^

Haha, Synna interacting with anyone is going to be interesting, but yay for acceptance.
...Sanctus, is that Agnes Oblige?
Anyway, regardless of when the RP is posted, it'll likely take me time to reply. Ijust started my next quarter and am now under fire from a heavy homework load on top of a Nazi job that owns my life. I will attempt tp post when I can.
Yes, and Sabi said you might know who it is.
