Brandon walked with the others silenty, listening to their conversation but saying nothing, when the bikers came along, he was sure there would be an encounter, Pidgetto cawed from Brandon's should and eyed the bikers suspiciously. Brandon put a hand on Skipper's pokeball, resdy to pull it off and release Skipper if things turned ugly, like he thought it will.

Brandon stood on edge for bit as he watched on, but much to his surprise the bikers parted and told them they could contiune on. More bikers soon came, one seemed to be the leader. Brandon cautiously clipped Skipper's pokeball back onto his belt. Pidgetto remained watching the bikers closely, watching for any sign it could be a trick. Then he listened as Rocky asked the bikers what they were waiting for. The bikers replied about their leader and friend Dredd... Brandon's breath caught in his throat, he froze for a second, then sighed a relief, didn't Max say his last name was Dredd? The bikers must be on their side then. Brandon wanted to say that they knew him, but he wasn't in the mood to listen to the others scold him like a child. He instead looked to Meghan, to see if she would say it or not.

Brandon was about to speak up and say yes, when Meghan beat him to it. At the end she addresses their strategy and that he should hang back... He asked "So I am going to be the back up squad or.... Because you know I will take the fight, might lose, might not, but I will. I won't do anything that would further put the team at risk either, I can ensure you. I have learned from my mistakes from the first and second day. If you just want me to be back up thats fine with me, if your concerned about me joining the fight or my pokemon being able to handle it. Trust me... Skipper here *taps the Charmeleon's pokeball on his belt* has alot more furry then most people guess." Brandon just wanted clarification on the strategy.

Brandon sighed... he realized, when Alice asked him that and saw the others getting on bikes, that although he might not be going along to fight initially, he was being charged with a very important task, to act as a sort of guard or protector for both Marcela and Rose and anyone else who may stay behind. Although he was sure that Rose and Marcela could handle their own, he understood the task and would uphold it to the fullest possible extent, he wouldn't let anything to happen either of them.

Brandon looked at Alice "Yeah Alice, if I have to stay back, I will keep your egg safe for you, me and my pokemon... We won't let anything happen to it." he gave a reassuring smile and looked over the whole group he asked "Anyone else have anything they want me to hold or keep an eye on while your away... If I can't go?".

Brandon watched as the group and the bikers prepared to leave, Rose said she wanted to go, which made Brandon tempted even more to go. For Marcela's sake though, he stayed, he didn't want her to be alone. He watched everyone ride away then turned his attention to the task at hand. They had to dig a trench... He considered how best to do it, he let out his Mankey and Skipper. They looked around curiously. Then Brandon sat down and rummaged through his pack, where he pulled out a mini a gardening shovel he kept in his pack in case he needed to dig a rain run off ditch. He startled digging down a little bit into the dirt, a few inches deep for about 4 foot in widgth. He then called over Skipper and Mankey, he told Skipper to use his claws to contiune digging the hole deeper. Mankey came in behind him and started using his strong hands to push the dirt back by the pile full. Brandon tapped the fighting type on the shoulder and offered him the shovel. Mankey gratefully accepted it and contiuned to dig. He turned to Marcela and asked "You have any pokemon that might be able to help dig this trench?" Brandon then looked around at the scenery along the route. He considered beginning camp prepations, although it was still daylight, he didn't know how long the whole thing would take. Gathering firewood was also a time consuming task. He whispered to his Pidgetto, asking him to go silently gather some wood and sticks, leaves also if he could and bring it back to him. He then reached into his pack for his water canteen and hung it around his neck, taking a sip of the water.

Brandon heard Marcela Say thanks for staying and he replied "No problem at all" he gave her a gentle smile, seconds later Pidgetto came diving in... FAST .. He dropped the sticks and leaves then flew onto Brandon's shoulder, the bird pokemon seemed very spooked out, he eyed the area had come from and gave a threatening caw... Brandon thought the behavior was so perculiar that he grabbed Marshtomp's pokeball and released him. He then grabbed Metapod's pokeball off his belt but didn't release him. The bikers who had stayed behind said they should hold off the trench, Brandon whistled to his pokemon, letting them know they could stop if they wanted to even though they had already started, then whirled his index finger in a circle indicating the classic 'regroup' signal. Before anything else could happen, there was a rustling in the bushes then out came a small army of grunts he yelled "AMBUSHHHH!" to the others and then Skipper who had been walking over realized what was happening and ran over and stood in front of his trainer defensively, growling as the grunts converged around them, Mankey followed suite a second later and rushed over next to his trainer putting his fists up and screeching angrily "MANNKEEEEYYY MANNNN MANNKEEEEE MANKKKKEYYY!!!!" Brandon yelled to others over the chaos "Quick form a tight circle, we should fight back to back!" he pressed ths button and relased Metapod from his pokeball, then quickly reached for Nidoran's. As he took the ball in his hand, he looked up, the grunt's seemed to have begun to get organized, two grunts, assumily the commanders, stepped forward and said "The red rockets are here! Surrender or your done" Brandon had to almost hold back his own laughter. Surrender! Did they really expect him to surrender? Then his amusement turned to focused conceration as he pressed Nidoran's pokeball, Nidoran came out, immedaitely her poisionous spike went out, she hissed at the potential attackers, Brandon's pokemon began to form the defensive formation and draw it as tight as they possibly could. A chipmunk wouldn't have been able to get past them. Brandon took a deep breath and said to the grunts "No, we will not be surrending here today, if you want, me and my friends will pull out of here, but if you pursue or attack us we will defend ourselves. If you don't want that, then let us battle right now, loser either surrenders or scaddetles on out of here. If you want confrontation, then I and anyone else in my small group that wishes to join in, challenge you to a battle." he watched them closely, his pokemon ready to attack back in self defense if it came to that, like Brandon felt and knew it would.


*Please Please Please Max I ask formally for a n actual battle, dont just force us to surrender... Please... Even if I lose, atleast allow me and my character to go down fighting. I wanted to get ready to set up the fight. Please man, I beg you to let me battle them. Even if I lose terribly... Please!*
