The door from which the Mage came remains closed, but one of the two doors on the other side of the room - which it seems to Megahog was guarding - open! The right door slides open, and there's a light at the end of the tunnel!
For whatever reason, it seems that the rest of the dungeon is not accessible to the Mage at the moment. Perhaps you can come back later when you're strong enough.

The Mage obliges, heading down the road to the ARCHMAGE'S TOWER. The MAGE greets some friendly travelers on the way.
Eventually, the Mage reaches the door to the ARCHMAGE'S TOWER. He enters, trying to find where in the world his mentor is. As he enters a corridor, he spots an open door. Voices are coming from the door, and they seem to be in an intense discussion.
