What are you studying?

Over here on the east coast, "Sir" does quite nicely. Although, I'll admit that I picked up the habit of referring to everyone as "friend." Admittedly, nobody seems to mind, so hey, it can't be too bad.

In Australia, everyone is 'mate'.
Someone holds the door open for you? "Cheers mate!"
Getting petrol in the car? "Fuel at number 5 please mate."
Someone lets you in during busy traffic? *Mouths* "Your a bloody legend mate!"

Then as for your friends, anything derogatory (with guys at least) works fine.
"Oi d***head!"
"What the hell have you been smoking dip****?"

That's the way it is with males at least. Females, I am not sure. Nobody understands them. Except females. And they hate eachother.

Lol Australia sounds like a fun place. And just like America with the females part. I'm just stating it now, I'm female and I can't understand what other females are talking about all most of the time. Though my guy friends argue it's because I'm like 1/4 tomboy or something I don't know. But all I hear is a combination of the words "sexy," "celebrities," and "eeeeehhh!!" My eardrums can't take that so I tend to avoid those girls.
