I tend to go flying types. My Gen 1 team had, out of later-realized coincidence, five flying types (Raichu was the only one that wasn't), and I realized the big mistake of that. My Gen 2 stuff corrected that goof, however.

I've always been a fan of dragons and dinosaurs, so when I saw the type effectiveness of dragon-types, I made that my primary focus. My teams usually looks along the lines of my starter (usually fire-type) (to counter Ice weakness) Aggron (to counter both Ice and Dragon) one fully evolved Dragon-Type (usually the most common one I can find), one legendary (usually also Dragon-Type), and one other pokemon that I caught early on and I trained to work against most of its weaknesses. Of course, these pokemon can also counter their own weaknesses, but it's always good to cover your bases, especially with dragons.

Ah, I like dragon-types also. Definitely loaded with lots of cool Pokemon. It's hard to build a TCG deck around them though. I've tried and haven't gotten much success out of it. I might also need more cards, of course.

And yeah, I play on the online version to avoid going broke. XD

I don't play the TCG, and I barely touch the cards I have. (My last birthday present before my grandma died my freshman year was three sets of pokemon cards from Gen V, and when I lost them while changing rooms, I haven't hardly touched any of the rest of them. At least I know that, if I find them again, they're safe in an Entei card tin.)

That's understandable. I just don't like playing games on pc when they seem to work better on consoles. (This also goes with MKX being on mobile, even though I still love the game, it's just a bit more boring on the mobile platform since you can't string together combos like you do on consoles.)

I started my journey into the Pokemon games back when it first came out while I was in Elementary School. 2nd grade I believe it was. My brother and I both jumped on it. We would enjoy battling each other. I remember I even ended up getting a birthday present later on being the Yellow Version Soecual Pikachu Edition and the Pikachu GBC to go with it. It was awesome to go around with that. My brother and I kept up with the game up until gen 3. That came out around the time I was about to go to High School and I remember I was trying to uhh..."fit" into the typical high schooler look and such lol. So when my brother ended up getting both Ruby and Sapphire both from an arcade game for about $10 worth of attempts and he didn't give me the other. I kinda got out of the Pokemon stuff for awhile.

Theeeeen Diamond, Pearl, and more specifically Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team came out and pulled me back in. Still haven't been able to pull my brother back in yet though. He gave Y a chance, but he never finished it. Yet, all of his friends still play it xD.

I think PMD: Blue was one of the only few games that almost drove me insane waiting for. I absolutely adored the concept and later on I regretted not ultra-rush delivering that puppy to my doorstep. I still own it, and wouldn't ever dream of trading it in. Looking back, it's crazy to think it didn't even feature most Gen 4 Pokemon.

But yeah, I really adored that game. And then Darkness came out and my mind was further blown.

A lot of people say the Pokemon mainstream games would make a great MMO, but you know, I think the PMD ones would be awesome as one also.

I think the reason PMD Blue didn't feature many gen 4 is because it came out right before they were released. It came out right around the time of the Lucario movie which is why it had a featured rank hinting at a future Pokemon.

Crazy part is, is that I remember BRT got me back into Pokemon, but it did so with story alone (because over half the game I played without sound). I finished the game while waiting on food somewhere so the effects were as strong as they would've been my first playthrough). Years later the full replay though hit pretty hard.

I remember loving the idea of it as well. As a young kid being a fan of Pokemon you could imagine the thoughts of becoming a Pikachu lol. Took me back to those days. Once Darkness and Time came out I jumped on that day 1. Glad I did too because people that got it day 1 got and Explorers handbook from GameStop.

A true PMD MMO would be amazing, but just like a real mainstream Pokemon MMO will never happen. The same goes for PMD sadly. Though there is (or was) a fan made PMD MMO. It's not perfect last I checked of very popular, but it's out there. Heck if I was good at programming something like that I'd go for it. Only thing is I feel I need to hire someone for the soundtrack lol. Some remixers out there are rather good with remixes and arrangements for the games.

I want to play PMD again... sadly I believe I lent/sold my copy of PMD Time to my brother. But that storyline was really good. The end of the main story made me cry. :'(

I haven't played Blue or Red though. Maybe should I pick it up now.

PMD Red/Blue were pretty good, but the storyline is shorter than Darkness/Time/Sky. There also isn't nearly as much after storyline stuff either, but it's still a decent game in its own right. I'd say give it a spin if you can find it being sold somewhere.

    What Neo just said lol.

Speaking of more Mystery Dungeon. The Famitsu review of PSMD is out now and it got a 36/40. 9's from each of the 4 reviewers.
