The Things is (and this thread has made me realise this) that speed measurement is a human concept. So to you, three miles seems little bit the fact it is five kilometres makes it seem like more. If we had a new unit which one unit was equivalent to twelve km, and I got done doing one unit over, people will call BS because it is only one unit. But really that one is a human concept.

I've surprisingly never gotten a ticket before. I do go over the speed limit quite a bit, but usually it's by accident. Sometimes I'll go a little over purely because I know my speedo is off. I always set my speed to 105 on cruise control when I'm on the freeway (at a 100km limit) because I know for a fact that it's 100 on the dot.

I think I'm partly lucky but I also know where the cameras are around me...so I go slow around them. xD Never been pulled over and breath tested either.
