The Queen of Shaymin

Araxie Scripture
Writer Mage
Rowan's Home
Affected RP'ers: @Morzone
The house was tidy, well put together, a small coffee table in the front with a stray glass that hadn't been put in the sink yet. Araxie walked over and picked it up, moving to the kitchen to place it by the sink. She would wash it the next time she visited. Araxie looked around the small kitchen and when she didn't see what she was looking for, she moved on to her study. This room was a complete mess of papers, some in stacks others crumpled up. One couldn't even really see the floor because of it. Araxie walked in, weaving through the piles easily before locating what she had been searching for, her rosary. Pocketing it, Araxie walked to her bedroom and began to collect other essentials plus any items she didn't want the superhumans finding. Araxie sighed and looked at Rowan when she was finished.

"That idiot!" Elisabeth shook her head at the disturbance Marx had caused. She turned to her fellow superhuman and said, "Let's go." When suddenly a bright flash of light ripped across the sky then struck Times Square. People began to scream and flee as a woman with a white newsies cap and black tank top scanned the area, holding a scythe in her hand.

"He's not dead but he's under great amounts of stress from all the dead that shouldn't be dead." Kora looked at the man in charge. "I am going to take him to his room. Please try to keep everything under control, I'll be back to help as soon as I can. Maybe take them to a sort of holding area while we try to sort this out."

Dagan nodded and opened his mouth to respond as the woman appeared. "A third Mage on the offensive?" He immediately panicked and moved away from the woman, mustering up all the power he could to put a barrier between her and both the civilians and himself.

"Will do, ma'am." The man said, saluting Kora before getting back to work. He called in more workers to process the shouldn't-be-deads and began to escort them to a large building that had just recently been finished being built and furnished. "Make yourselves at home, those of you who are coming with me either aren't supposed to be dead yet, were supposed to die another way, or both, so just bare with us as we try to get this sorted out. We will get you all out of here or get your cause of death sorted as quickly as we can, but until the reason that you all died prematurely is stopped, we can't do anything, and with the sheer number of people affected, it will be a while after that before we can get you back out. We will extend your lives past your intended death date for the length of time that you spent here, and we do keep a very well-organized log book of all who visit for that very purpose. We apologize for the inconvenience." he announced over the intercom.

Cheers and good times!
Tyler White
Life Mage
SUNY Downstate Medical Center, New York, United States
Family seeing family in the hospital wasn't too much of a problem. I told Marc to tell the hospital staff that I was simply a friend from out of town. They didn't have a problem with it and Marc led the way to his father's room in the Intensive Care Wing.
Everything around here was kept insanely clean and orderly and I could definitely make out the sanitation smells of alcohol in the air. When we got to his father's room, the curtain was closed and Marc pulled it aside so we could both enter.
His father, Thomas, was in terrible shape. He was hooked up to a spider web of tubes and wires and had more IV bags suspended in the air than I had fingers on my hands. Man, with all the chems they were pumping into this guy, his body must have been more medication soup than anything else.
"I know you said you could help him..." Marc told me, glancing at me before looking to his father with a hopeless face. "The doctors have tried everything though. I mean, you don't look like a doctor to me, but... I'm not one to judge."
Ha, I was even better than a doctor! Of course, Kritana and I had to come to some agreement before anyone did anything big. And if I just went ahead anyway without asking permission, well, we sometimes had a chat about it, but I'd make it up to him somehow.
"Just relax," I assured Marc as I approached Thomas in what would have been his deathbed. "I got this."
Given Thomas's current state, I estimated Kritana would have had his hands on his guy in less than a week, but that was about to change. I started by pulling the bedsheets aside, and laid my hands on his chest. Really, wiping away all the terminal cancer and junk was just as easy as flushing a toilet, or at least it was for me.
Let's get you back in action.
Gone. Not only did I just flush away all the cancer, infections, and other grizzly junk that had decided to make his body a condominium, but I restored his stamina and vitality. Essentially, when he suddenly woke up, it was as if all that had happened was he just woke up from a really long night's sleep. He was a bit startled, which was totally understandable. Not too many humans know about stuff like this, so it does catch them off guard quite often!
"Oh my god, what's... what's going on!?" Thomas exclaimed, suddenly looked around the room.
"Hey there, name's Tyler," I told Marc's father. "I'm a friend of your son. How are you feeling right now?"
Oh, he was finer than fine, but I enjoyed asking that question anyway. It made my job much more fun.
"I'm..." Thomas spoke, suddenly even more surprised. "Did... the treatment work?"
I looked at the vitals monitor jokingly. Oh, I didn't need that piece of machinery to tell he was fine, but it was fun to see the sudden and instant change in line graph vital readings.
"How did you do that!?"" Marc exclaimed, suddenly in total shock. "Are... are you an angel!?"
I snickered at that. Ah, as much as I wished I could do this all the time, well, things needed to die at certain times and I couldn't abuse my powers so that everyone could live forever.
"Not quite," I told them, still with a confident smile. "I happen to be the Mage of Life. I know some humans have become scared and frightened of us in recent times, but we're simply moderators and governors of some of the elements of the universe."
"You're... one of them?" Marc asked, very surprised. "I... never would have thought."
"It's okay, we've tried our best to keep things secret," I told them. "I'm sure you're familiar with some of the more recent incidents that have been going on and how what we do isn't quite so secret anymore. Well, I'm here to tell the story of things from our side rather than the media's. We're not bad people. In fact, many of the Mages do great things and the world wouldn't be the same without them. And yes, while I'm the Life Mage, there is a Death Mage too."
"But why?" Marc asked, still unable to understand. "Why have death?"
"Well, imagine for a moment what the world would be like if everything and everyone lived forever and never died," I told him, trying to make him comfortable with the whole life and death thing. "It might sound wonderful at first, but food sources would run out rapidly, masses of living things would be forever suffering in starvation, and the world couldn't support so many living things at once. There would be no room for it all and people and animals would be living in piles of each other everywhere. So, everyone gets a chance at life, but they've got to make the best out of it with the time they have. For some, life is short and long for others. Just like school or even a stay at a hotel, when time's up, it's simply a matter of checking out so another person can move into your room. If the balance isn't kept, very often disaster strikes."
"But what about starving children?" Thomas asked. "And war? And natural disasters? It is fair those people had their lives taken from them so unexpectedly?"
"Ah, I love these questions," I told him, kind of speaking with a bit of sarcasm there. "You bet I wish we could feed all those starving kids. But I wish I could stop a man and wife from having a kid if they couldn't feed them, too. Some do anyway even when they know the consequences. And as much as I wish war could be wiped out, well, as long as there are differences in human opinion, belief, and thought, well, you're going to have some people get so angry about those differences that they'll resort to physical violence. As for disasters, that too is the result of people getting caught in an ever-changing world that won't stick to one shape forever. But where a forest burns to the ground, a new one will form. Where an earthquake destroys a city, a new one will be rebuilt from the ground, newer and better than before. You also need to remember that in the grand scale of the universe, we're just a very tiny part of something so much bigger. But that doesn't mean that what each human does here isn't important. And you, my friends, have a role to play in that!"
Of course, I needed to get those IVs and monitor wires removed so we could get out of here. If the nurses saw this, they'd cause quite a stir. So I needed to get both Thomas and Marc out of here before anyone saw this.

Madeline's eyes opened slightly before her image flickered out of existence, as if she had never been there in the first place. Elisabeth paused, turning her attention back to the news boards. Four series of attacks were going on across the world: New Orleans, London, Paris, and Glasgow. These four Mages were all slaughtering people left and right. Elisabeth looked at Dagan.
"I believe we have to split up. The Blocker is handling the one in New Orleans and fire guy is going after Scotland. I guess I can go to Paris and you can go to London?"

Kora heard the announcement over the loud speaker as she carried Kritana back to his room. She placed him on his bed then got a wet washcloth and placed it on his forehead. She sighed then walked back to the main area to help handle the dead.
In London...
Madeline gasped as she reappeared in the middle of London, just below Big Ben. She looked around, her senses regathering for a second before the madness took over again. Seeing a stalled carriage nearby, Madeline sliced through the chains with her scythe and mounted the white horse, her madness influence keeping the steed under control. Madeline then spotted someone nearby, aiming a gun at her. Now that simply would not do. She spun her scythe in the air before slashing through them. At first, the person appeared unharmed, then suddenly they began to shiver and vomit, blood dripping from their nose and bruises coating their skin. Madeline smiled. Septicemic plague. Personally Madeline preferred bubonic but it was really a roulette with this. As the man coughed and slowly died, people around him began to gain accelerated symptoms of plagues as well, but not just Septicemic. Bubonic, pneumonic, Pharyngeal, and Meningeal showed up as well, spreading like wildfire through the streets.
"It's Pestilence!" someone cried, "The mages have harnessed the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and unleashed them upon us!" Madeline looked over at the person and thought over the proposition. That wasn't a half bad title. She liked the sound of that. No. Madeline grimaced. What was she doing? Not again. She had already taken out half of London once. Why was she doing it again? Madeline gripped her head tightly and shook it, starting to come to her senses again.
"But couldn't it be righteousness? Look at the white horse she mounts!" someone else called.
"Then why is she attacking us?" Madeline cried out before urging her horse on, ridding through London as she tried to fight back against the voices in her head.
In Paris...
"Tea! Tea for everyone! You can't not like tea! I won't allow it!" Maddie cackled loudly as tea cups filled the area, spilling their contents and forcing tea down the throats of the citizens of Paris. She formed a sword of tea and sliced through the chains of a horse tied to a post. A tea pot formed over the horse and dumped gallons of tea on the horse, turning it a red. Maddie mounted the horse and reared it, galloping through Paris pouring tea everywhere, flooding Paris with it.
Meanwhile, atop of the Eiffel Tower, another mage stood, his red and blue eyes analyzing the situation. This was not good. What did a time and space traveler have to do to get a break from his actual home? It seemed he'd have to settle this on his own.
In Glasgow...
Maddox raised his head and smiled. This power felt great! And better yet, he could feel both sides of his powers pulsating. He was alive. Maddox spotted a horse tied to an abandoned carriage nearby and walked over to it. He touched it and shot death volts into the horse. Before its soul could escape, however, Maddox grabbed its soul and shocked it into existence. The body disintegrated and the soul solidified. Maddox mounted it and formed his hook swords. Maddox began to ride through the streets, shooting death volts through the air, killing without remorse. It felt great to unleash himself after so long of restraint in the underworld!

A tall man with short, blue-violet hair, bright purple eyes, pale skin, and what appeared to be robes from many millennia ago stood watching the screens in horror as he saw what was happening around the world. He pulled out a compass enchanted with Space Mage blood and set it to Enchanter. At first, it pointed at him, but with a tap of his finger, it pointed directly to where this world's Enchanter would be, and he used a Space Ring to teleport several times at the same interval in hopes of getting to the Mage faster than he could walk it.
In the underworld
As the "four horsemen" all arrived and began attacking, the underworld's traffic started to worsen. Seeing the influx of more and more people, the man standing in for Kritana came over the speaker. "All workers please report to processing, this is an emergency and we require all hands at the posts." he said. As he did, the other workers arrived, opening 40 more check-in posts to the underworld. He flipped on a sign above the entrances that the workers all thought Kritana was crazy for installing, but were glad now that he had. He quickly programmed the sign to say "If we tell you there is a discrepancy in your death, please report to the tallest building closest to us."
Kritana had begun to relax in his bed as Kora left, but the moment that the influx of souls occurred, breathing became difficult for him and his heart began to give out again, but this time he began to recover before anything could come of it. The power of the Life Mage was keeping him alive, but he had already come to the brink of death twice in rapid succession, how long would that one immortality spell last under these circumstances?

"Sounds like a plan." Dagan said. He paused and looked at the ground. "Well, let's hope I can do this." he said. He focused on the earth beneath him and caused a small platform made out of it to rise from the ground, lifting him with it. "Well, that answers that." he mumbled before taking off towards London.

Bursting from an alley came a young man in his twenties. As much as he wanted to fight he was put on damage control. Typical give the youngest the boring job. The young man raced after the woman on the horse releasing a vial of liquid as he went it wouldn't stop the plagues true, but it would stall the spread rate.

Normally he would slip a note, but this couldn't wait for him to find it. "Tyler we have a problem," came a seemingly disembodied voice beside Tyler just loud enough for him and the two mortals to hear. "Rouge mages are starting a war, the underworld is being flooded you might be able to help. Where do you want me to put your friends?"
