Glasgow, huh? Well, I was hoping things hadn't gone too out of control.

"I'm on it," I told Bernie as I stepped through the portal. "Keep in touch in case things get worse elsewhere!"

Not that I was looking forward to stepping into something even more drastic, BUT I could at least do something about it.

After stepping into Glasgow's Victorian-style streets surrounded by old city buildings, it got me wondering how Kritana was reacting to all the extra death going about. Thing was, how much and how far was I to take the revivals? I figured we could just chat that out later.

Still, I heard plenty of screams and police sirens. Definitely sounded like Bernie wasn't kidding on this one. I decided to go incognito for now. I shapeshifted into a simple Glasgow police officer. Whoever was responsible for the attack probably wouldn't suspect I was working behind the scenes, just as long as I kept my powers hidden and out of sight.

All I had to do was follow the sounds of commotion and disruption. And it didn't take long before I found the source. Maddox. Riding around on a poor, mesmerized and enslaved horse and unleashing death volts through the air, which killed everyone and anything they struck down upon. And he was stabbing innocent people with a hook sword. I highly doubted Maddox had gotten Kritana's seal of approval before causing this ruckus.

Well, now I could see why Bernie had interrupted my meeting with the humans. Definitely wouldn't hold this against him, that's for sure.

"We're losing control of the situation!" a younger, panicked police officer cried out into his radio communicator. "This has to be the apocalypse!"

Apocalypse? Nah. Way too early for that.

"Get to someplace safe if you don't think you can handle this!" I advised him. "Radio for backup and give them a sit-rep!"

Some police officers had begun to open fire upon Maddox, but I imagined that probably wasn't going to do much against him. I figured anyone with this much deathly power probably wouldn't fall over flat just after a few gunshots. But if they at least pestered him, well, now that would be fair game.

I turned and I saw and heard a crying human baby in a carriage while the mother was lying face down in the street, obviously killed from one of Maddox's death volts. Her body was even sizzling from the deathly aftermath of the strike as I imagined her death must have only happened less than just a minute ago.

Now we just couldn't allow that to linger on.

Indiscreetly, I used my revival power to resurrect the mother, trying to keep it hidden from sight. All of the wounds and bodily harm that had come to her was undone, and suddenly she woke up as if nothing was wrong. She was completely shocked and bewildered, but she was definitely alive again and unharmed.

"Ma'am, we need you to evacuate the area!" I told her, grabbing her wrist and pulling her up from the ground, totally playing the role of cop and not the 'it was me who revived you' act. "This zone is no longer safe!"

She just nodded and rushed out of there, racing down the street with her baby as fast as they could go. In the meantime, I grabbed a shotgun from a nearby police car that had slammed into a wall as a result of the commotion. So far, it hadn't seemed like Maddox caught on.

Just then, a trio of death volts had struck several police officers trying to take cover behind another police car that was part of a road block. As I had expected, it killed them on the spot, but... well, all I had to do to undo that little blemish was draw the revival circle out of sight and suddenly all the damage and harm that had come to them was undone.

"What the...?" one of them asked, suddenly realizing he was alive again. "Were we... I thought we just got hit!?"

"Now's not the time, get back to the fight!" I shouted to them, playing the part by shooting at Maddox, even though I knew it wouldn't do a thing against him.

They looked at me for a moment, unable to understand what just happened, but they didn't suspect me for being the reason behind their revival. Ooh, now I could have a lot of fun with this.

In the meantime, I scanned the area. Maddox had killed quite a few people and it would take a bit of time to revive them, but I was confident I could revive them faster than he could kill them. Meanwhile, time was not on his side. As I heard a police helicopter in the air and lay heavy, suppressing machine gun fire upon him, I kept wondering how far Maddox was willing to take his little killing spree before things got even more stacked against him.
