Next Splatfest to Feature…POKEMON!!!!

Hold on to your tentacles….Pokemon fans! That is because pretty soon you will be able to Splat’em all!
Live from the Squid Research Lab (Splatoon’s Official Tumblr) has announced the theme for this month’s Splatfest to be Pokemon! Splatoon players can start heading to the Inkopolis Plaza to vote between Pokémon Red or Pokémon Blue as their favorite game. This Splatfest will begin on February 19 at 10:00 PM PT and will run until February 20 at 10:00 PM PT. This means that this will be the first ever worldwide Splatfest for Splatoon! Even more, the Pokemon theme Splatfest will happen simultaneously around the world. Though players will be match up with other players in their region and results will also be tallied by the player’s region.
It just so happens that February is Pokemon’s anniversary month so it is the perfect time to honor time for a Pokemon theme Splatfest! So get ready squids to show that you can be the very best like no one ever was!
