Pokemon had a Direct late last week and it surely hit us Pokemon fans directly! It was beautiful and surely reminded us what it means to be a Pokemon fan. It means making connections with other people. This could be by game link, trading cards, anime, or even simply by listening. It is our love of Pokemon that has brought us together and helped us all grow. Pokemon simply started off as a game that connects two people directly with link cables. It was a local experience but now we are twenty years from that day in 1996. Now we have WiFi which has allow Pokemon fans to connect with people all over the world. Though, Pokemon fans have been connecting with each other for years thanks to the internet. Now we can do it via the game and it is simply beautiful seeing friends who have never met playing a game that they all love.
Technology is amazing! Pokemon is amazing!
What is even more amazing is that we have all kinds of Pokemon podcasts who all want to connect their fans with with each other! Thanks to this Pokemon Direct, it seems like all the podcasts are talking about Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon! First off, we have the P.U.C.L. Podcast which starts off with an important question: What does Pokemon means to you? It is a beautiful start to an episode coming out on the weekend of the 20th anniversary and really pulls on the heartstrings. Once you have wiped your tears from your eyes, listen to Thatch and the council as they talk about the news of the newest Pokemon game coming out this holiday season! Next, we have The Dex! Podcast where The Dex! Crew talk about Pokemon Sun and Moon and what it could mean for the franchise as it moves into it’s 20th year. There is also SBJ and his gang from PKMNcast who talk about the direct and how the trailer truly fitted in with the theme of Pokemon where it connects people from all over the world. A short podcast episode but it brings up many great points. There is also the guys from the BoomBurst Podcast where they talk about the rumors that went flying and cause the internet to burst with false truths thanks to, at the time unofficially announced, Pokemon Moon and Pokemon Sun. There is also KantoCast who took time to talk about Pokemon’s 20th anniversary while providing a list of which Pokemon you would want at a birthday party. Maybe Pokemon can take a listen to this episode as they had recently celebrated a birthday.
If you want to listen to some podcasts that has nothing to do with the Sun or the Moon then we got some right here! There is Anne from Pikapi Podcast where she cast about Ash’s battle against Pryce and how the powerful of friendship can flip the laws of physics and knockout any opponent. Screw the rules! Ash got friendship! There is also the Whirlcast where they go back to their deep roots to talk about Pokemon Mystery Dungeon! This time they are talking about the PMD timeline and how it all ties together.
Lastly, are you ready to listen to some TCG podcasts? Then take a listen to PTCG Radio where Rossy talks about how a mature format can really share a bit tournament and the changes that players can see starting at their next prerelease. There is also an episode from Experience Share where they talk about the importance of scouting and when to do it.
So don’t touch that Totodile! It is time to listen to some podcasts!
