Only read the prologue so far, but until I read your comment I was going to say it sounds more Final Fantasy than anything Zelda related. :p

The story-telling element (in regards to friendship) reminds me of Varric from Dragon Age 2/DAI spinning tall tales about all his friends. XD Nice work so far, I'll have to read more later!
