Yeah, I still go, and they really haven't changed much. The songs are very much the same, and the gospels definitely haven't changed. Usually within the first two sentences, I instantly know what gospel passage they picked for the week and definitely remember the whole story and meaning behind it.

I'm mainly there because it gets me off my butt to go pray with the rest of the parish, kind of like getting off your butt to go to an exercise class or something like that when you could still exercise at home if you really wanted to.

It also helps if the parish you go to has good pastors. We have a good one named Father Joe who likes to tell his sermons with a bit of humor or interesting recollections. The other two are a bit dry though and my mind tends to wander toward the second half of their sermon. XP

We had a Father like that and it always made service go by quicker. Mom was in choir so I always sat with another girl who's Mom was in the choir too.

Yeah, we also had a short time when there weren't any musicians available, which did make Sunday mass feel very quiet, but whoa, it went by much faster. The new musician we got isn't bad, but he's... a little eccentric and uses an odd setting for the organs.
