I have a weird irl name. Xanthe. I get many mispronunciations. Do you?! If so, post them here. You can also post weird username pronunciations, too, or any other names you go by! Or names of others that YOU have mispronounced!

I had a friend who used to say Suicune as 'swin-see'. -_- Clearly no reading skills.

You say my name as: ZAN-thee. The th sound is like in 'booth.' Not a hard th like 'this.' These are the mispronunciations I've heard:

So my name, Sloane, is pronounced with an S like a snake his, then the word loan. S-loan. The E itself is silent. However, I do get a lot of common misconceptions.
-Sa-loan (throwing an extra a in there)
-Sloanee (adding a long e sound)
-Sloanay

That's all I can think of off the top my head. My middle name suffers too though since it has a silent H and it's a parody of another very common name so people tend to get them confused.

Oh @Suicune's Fire I totally said your name as Zanth when I first met you. I HAD NO IDEA THE E WAS A THING. xD I'd never heard that name before!

Anyway, most of you know my name is Gemma. It's not that hard to pronounce, right? WRONG. SO WRONG. I have had some annoying mispronunciations over the times. Though, granted, not as bad as Xanthe's. xD I'll also throw misspelling in here just cause that pisses me off too.

Not going to lie Xanthe, up until about two years ago I thought it was pronounced 'ex-anth', and apparently I'm still getting it wrong because up until now I thought it was 'zanth'. You've got the coolest looking name though!!!
