Rose looked out across the grey landscape of One City from the balcony of what used to be the Devon Corp building. Not a single person walked on the previously frequented streets below. She smiled as she took in the view with her newly restored eyes. This was not a warm smile. This was the smile of an animal preparing to devour its prey. A zubat landed on the edge of the balcony, its normally blue skin stained with blotches of black and dark purple, and its eyes dimly glowing red. Rose held out her arm, commanding the shadow Pokemon forward. Without hesitation, the Pokemon flew forward and hung upside down from her hand.

Rose felt Lord Gerit's presence as he stepped onto the balcony behind her. "It seems that your plan is moving flawlessly." Rose commented, still facing out towards the city. "Surely it is almost time to continue to the next step, is it not?" She questioned, letting out a slight chuckle as she turned to face him. At the same time, she lifted her arm and sent the zubat away.
