I'd like to apologise to you two, and to anyone else who I've upset but has kept quiet about it. It was a distasteful move, I suppose. I know how important religion and spirituality are to people, so I knew what I wrote would be risky. But it was not written to mock or upset, merely to make people laugh (and for my own personal enjoyment). I'm not going to pretend it wasn't a parody of the Bible, either, because it was. I thought that because I think of it as harmless (and, logically, it is harmless) that others would see it the same way, but I guess that's not true. I shouldn't expect that of people I barely know, anyway. I'll happily amend the first (and now, only) entry if it means you'll forgive me. I'm sorry. <3

I merely saw it as harmless fun that pertains to Pokemon. I'm Christian too, but I don't take offence to any of this. Tenacity isn't openly mocking the bible, and Xanthe was right. It sounds more like Pokemon lore to me. It's fine if you take your religion seriously, but this really doesn't have much to do with religion barring the puns used. No one's out to personally "target" anyone. We're just trying to have fun. c:

Before I say anything else, we're cool and I'm honestly not that upset. Maybe just a very little bit irked is more like it.

I would have been fine with it if you just made up your own goofy scripture book and stuff like that to go along with the Ditto cult thing. Heck, I've come up with cult-like factions for RPs and stories plenty of times. Plagiarizing the Bible (or any real life book for that matter) really isn't a good idea. Sure, I love a great parody, but this is one of those touchy subjects that a lot of people take to heart. If we can accomplish the objective (making a funny Ditto scripture book for humor) without doing something that might offend large groups of people (fudging around with an actual scripture book to do that), I think that's definitely the route we should go in. Plus, you're awesome and creative, I think cranking out something entirely new and original is definitely something you can do and it would probably feel more fulfilling if you did and knew you didn't copy and paste stuff to accomplish that.

But yeah, as a general rule of thumb for the future, PLEASE, no real life politics, sex, religion, or ethnicity/racism stuff. I know other sites have no qualms about trashing those kinds of things all the time, but they certainly get heat from it all the time and some of it does get pretty ugly. The fake stuff is perfectly fine though. Heck, I have Pokémorphs get attacked in RPs all the time, and it's okay because they're not real nor are they based off of any actual race. But, if I made them identical to an actual ethnicity, there might be some heat over that. It's the same reason why black Jynx was changed and that one episode where Ash gets a rifle stuck in his face was banned. Most people are fine with this stuff, some are like "eh, probably not a good idea, but whatever" (like me most of the time), while others it just outright really bothers them in some way or another.
