Your pet peeves?

This isn't really a pet peeve as much as it is something I find kind of hilarious. But people (mostly in arguments) who try to make themselves appear more intelligent and credible than they are by using the word "whom" instead of "who." And then misusing it.

People using "your" instead of "you're" when the later is appropriate. It just irks me. I'm much more likely to dismiss "its" and "it's" when it comes to proper grammar (NOT grammer, by the way, which is another mistake lots of people make). But when people start using "ur" for "your" or "you're," I just assume they're nitwits and have no clue what they're talking about. I'm very glad text speak is becoming a dying trend.

YES. And recently I've seen SO many people mixing up "generally" and "genuinely", or "definitely" and "defiantly". Even people at university do it! Like JEEZ guys, they don't even sound that similar?? That's literally primary school level????? My friend and I use some shorthand when messaging, and I tend to use it to highlight I'm being sarcastic, but it's so annoying when you can barely read what someone's saying.

I hate when people get into fights over dumb things on social media. Just yesterday there was a big argument with some people from my school that started with "*you're*.

Also that. People don't realize that some people are legitimately offended by that, and yet they still do it.

When people put a list of ten things on 27 different pages so you keep having to click. I see the first one and I'm like, "I'm out." Thanks for not doing this, BuzzFeed.

Anyway, a big pet peeve of mine is when people say something like "you have no room to talk" or "you don't have any idea what you're talking about" when it comes to major issues bevause "it doesn't directly affect them". Like, uh… okay then? Then why were you talking about the other major issue earlier this week that I know for a fact didn't affect you personally and yet you acted like you were the end all know all when it came to this topic despite it not affecting you at all.

Also when people say "is it because I'm *insert race, gender, etc here*?" Like, uh, no. No it's not. I just asked you what kind of milkshake you wanted and you said chocolate but they're out of chocolate so you have to pick another flavor. This has nothing do with your skin color, they're just out of chocolate so you need to pick strawberry or vanilla, LaQueesha!

I think the biggest peeve that I have to this day.
Is immaturity in people.

I know there is a place and a time for it.
But it happens a lot online and I dislike that.

Act your age, or get out!
I am hypocritical because I do not act my age, MOST of the time.

But at least my maturity meter is on point more than most people.
There is a difference between acting like a twat and having fun in oneself.

I recently came across something that just peeved me off:

Vegans forcing their vegan diet on their dog or cat. In light of this.

If you want to go by a vegan diet for yourself, that's your own choice and you take on the outcomes of however that works out. But do NOT force that on your dog or cat. Dogs and cats need meat in their diet and it really screws them up if they don't get it. Dogs descended from wolves and cats are natural predators. You're not going to change that.

If a vegan person wants a pet that shares the same dietary pattern, get a rabbit, chinchilla, gerbil, or some other herbivore like that!

I think any of my pet peeves could be categorized into one thing - rudeness. There is nothing more disgusting than a rude individual! Like honking the horn behind someone (JUST TO GET TO BONJANGLES AND I WAS GOING THE SPEED LIMIT SOMEONE IN UR CAR BETTER HAVE AN IODINE DEFICIENCY AND NEED THOSE SALTY FIRES I'M A NEW DRIVER AND I'M VERY HURT), not apologizing for simple social mistakes like bumping into someone or something similar, not being considerate of others (especially friends)...I could go on. Just any rude thing! So, general rudeness is my pet peeve.

I only recently discovered this one actually. One of the easiest ways to tick me off is through the little pet peeve of continuing to argue with me when I'm trying to help, especially if I outrank them.

An example of this is last year, when I was president of my school's Model United Nations club, these kids got into a huge fight in the middle of a committee (a big no no for those who don't do MUN or debate in general) and they were all from my club. Not only was it super embarrassing to hear about from other delegates in my committee who had heard about it from their friends and find out they were from the same school as me, but it also cost us Premier Delegation that year, which is even more embarrassing because usually it's one of those awards that once you've gotten it in the past it's pretty hard to screw up on getting it again. The advisor was royally pissed at the students so I had to talk to them instead, and rather than listen to the warnings I was trying to give them, they continued to argue with me even though they really shouldn't have. Merits and rights and wrongs of the argument aside, I nearly snapped at them because they simply wouldn't listen to me, a person who outranked them both in position and experience.

It's happened a few times since then in a variety of different situations but that's probably the quickest way to get me really angry.
