You're supposed to do it from left to right, I don't know why you were taught that way. Your school system baffles me to every possible degree. Teaching that your blood would be toxic without periods (which is not taught in any other state or country as far as I'm aware) and other things, just... Why is your school the odd one?

Honestly, I was debating myself on where the three went in terms of parenthesis or multiplication.

Well in case you haven't noticed, we're ranked 40 out of 50 on high school graduation rates, 37/50 on Bachelor Degree rates, and 35/50 on Master's Degree rates. We aren't exactly high level when it comes to education.

Also, I was taught left to right as you come. It's the public school system that taught multiply then divide.

I wasn't aware how low your state was ranked.

I mean they also emphasize wearing our IDs in school more than any other safety standard like the non-important stuff such as drugs but eh.

I was wondering for a moment how my state compares to that when it hit me: that is my state.
