"The Bloodlust"
There's a madness in all of us.

THIS IS A REVISED POEM!

In the recesses of the world..
The shadows, the darkness..
The vile minds of humanity lurk in the night, awaiting their next victim.
Some do it for fun, some do it because they feel it is their calling.
Some feel they are serving a higher purpose, and some do it out of boredom.
You, the innocent, suffer their tyranny. While there is some good in the world, there is most certainly evil.
An evil that will never be extinguished...
From the shadows it stalks you
A creature of the night
~
You feel it creeping closer
But it's hidden from your sight
~
Those people tried to warn you
To walk close to where there's light
~
But now you're just a victim
Of a heinous beast called fright
The bloodlust can never truly be satisfied..
The bloodlust will never truly die..
The thoughts of a killer will forever wander to the feeling of fresh blood trickling down their skin.
They'll long for it, and they'll sate the need by any means necessary.
They are uncaring, unforgiving, and psychotic.
They feed on the fear and paranoia of their victims.
As they hunt, they are almost aroused by the fantasy of killing once again.
Take it now, to a higher level
This cushioned life in which you revel
~
A upturned nose invites a hell
Take you back to where I dwell
~
A wicked heart you can't ignore
I'll tie you up and slam the door
~
You cannot escape this anymore
You've no idea what I've got in store
When the killer stalks his victim, both people can feel the intensity.
The thrill of the chase.
One lead by fear, and one lead by desire.
There is a rare chance that the victim manages to escape their pursuer.
However, there can be no escape from death.
Sooner or later, the killer will feel the satisfaction of sliding a blade into someone's heart, or putting a bullet into someone's head.
I will not stop, I won't give in
Body counts rise, I'm drowning in sin
~
I'm not winning, but I'm not quitting
Nor am I willing to stop my killing
~
The thrill of the chase, quicken pace
I'll peel the skin right off your face
~
Fight my demons or fight my knife
Killed your family, now I end your life
Time and time again, the killer is brought to justice by keepers of the peace.
The good guys
The heroes
The denizens of the light
However, the shadow of death will never go away.
So long as good exists in this world, evil, too, will thrive.
Murder will keep happening.
Hate will still plague our minds.
Darkness will still corrupt our souls.
So long as there is good, there will inevitably be evil.
Call me crazy, you don't know me
I'm a psycho, sad and lonely
~
I thirst for blood, it's what I love
They call me sick, I'm always judged
~
Maybe I'll show the world my colors
Maybe I'll kill these mother f**kers
~
I might be crazy, might be insane
But you're the victim of my game
The bloodlust presents itself as an instability.
A sickness.
An illness.
A madness.
Psychotic breakdowns which lead to irrevocably violent tendencies. To which the victim of the bloodlust is not the only victim.
The monster is also a victim
A victim of a sickness
A victim of the bloodlust
But to succumb to that illness, is to be weak. A weak and cowardly person loses himself in the bloodlust. He also loses his mind...
Look at you quiver, look at you shake
Hear you scream with every bone I break
~
Murder by nature, killer by thought
Witness the monster that you wrought
~
It's my design, terror to all!
You can't stop me, I won't fall!
~
For all the pain that you'll endure
Spread their blood across the floor
Insanity.
Insanity means to do things repetitively and expecting a different result each time.
Murder has the same result every time.
Insanity also follows a pattern. Patterns are sought by seekers of justice.
A downfall.
Madness begets chaos.
Chaos begets murder.
Murder begets insanity.
Insanity begets justice.
With crime so widely predictable, it's a wonder how people get away with it.
It's the unpredictable ones that get away.
All you can do is hope and pray. Pray that it will go away. Hope that it won't find you, someday.
Someday.
