    Does this mean it takes place in a different world than the current Pokémon world? Or is it in the same world, just in different countries? Sorry if it's a bit of a dumb question, just curious.

    The world is completely new. New land mass new countries new everything. Also in a feudal/medieval time setting.

    Nothing says he can't end up going the absolute psycho route anyway. He'd have to be very /very/ good to avoid getting destroyed (or possibly killed, depending on how anti death the country is). I mean, Ted Bundy was very charming. I'm sure his character could hide it, too. XD
