I agree with Green. I liked Rogue One's cast of characters. And it's not like Rey and Kylo are bad, but I feel like they could have done better. Ah well, that's just me and they're obviously not going to change it.

Past Episode 7 I haven't seen either of the 2 new movies actually. Forgot about Rogue One. Oh I have some co-workers that love the Star Wars movies. Though the 2 I've been talking to haven't even seen Detective Pikachu yet. She wanted to see John Wick 3 first and the other guy hasn't seen either of the 3 movies (John Wick, Avengers, or Detective Pikachu yet).

Yeah I think it has to do with what your introduction was. People who started with the later movies I think are more endeared to Rey and Kylo.

Exactly! Like early on. Luke, Leia, and Han/Chewy were the big ones everyone grew up with. Then you have Lone Star from Space Balls and his crew. Aww, man still love that movie xD.

Parody aside, the original our parents and their generation seem to love it more. We grew up with Episodes 1-3 with Obi-Wan and Aniken. Now the new gen is getting Episodes 7-9 and it sure is different. It's probably like how our parents felt watching us see the new movies. It's just something new....kinda has me worried on how newer gens will see the things we like. Like Pokemon...

I think Pokemon will adapt to newer fans. They've already shown they're willing to make games that cater towards newer and older fans. And as much as older fans complain about the new games allllll the time, they're doing what they're intended to do, bring in new fans, just like the newer star wars films.

Yup! They've been attempting new and more innovative ideas into the series. So glad to see it too! Cause some of these ideas are really awesome.

I think they've been bending it a bit more toward the mature audiences. I mean heck, Detective Pikachu did have some pretty destructive action scenes.

I'm also glad a lot of the emphasis has been shifted away from Ash and instead focuses on new characters with new storylines and backgrounds. Considering Tim is 21 years old in the movie, that definitely shows they're keeping in mind the audience that grew up with Pokemon has matured by now and it's good they have this new characters more of that audience can relate to. Plus 21 is not too old, but not too young either. I think it strikes a good balance.
