It was a livestream so that might be why. No big pokemon news. Luigi's Mansion 3 was announced though and Isabelle is playable in SSBU

Yeah the livestream feed stays up for a bit. Most of it was news that came out anyway before the Direct. Luigi’s Mansion 3 was interesting and a new Animal Crossing was announced for the Switch too. Besides that Isabelle from Animal Crossing is in Smash now too. Not a big fan of that, but some people might like it. So kudos to their character getting in.

Eh, I never could get into Animal Crossing. I tried Wild World way back when and it just didn't hook me in at all.

I can see where some people might like it, such as the type that like to collect things, play casually, and aren't serious action fans. I'm just not that type, though.

I was never a fan of it either. I even tried the mobile game and still just didn’t really have fun with it. My best friend literally begged me to way back when the one on the Wii came out and I just couldn’t push myself to do it (especially cause back then I had no income except birthdays and Holiday gifts).

Personally I just want my personal most wanted character in Smash. He’s still the most wanted right now in most polls. Isaac from Golden Sun. Honestly if they do that they can remake the series or finally release the next installment. Back when Smash WiiU was coming out they even released Golden sun on the eShop. So it’s totally possible!

Personally I don't mind Isabelle being in Smash. There wasn't much discussion but it doesn't look like she'll be a total echo character.

I'm more frustrated about the total Final Fantasy troll where they released Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon BUT NOTHING ON PMD. COME ON NINTENDO.

Yeah she’s a total echo fighter for Villager. Even if they didn’t specify it. Even the leakers mentioned it. Hopefully we just get a full Smash Direct soon with more fighters and that new mode.

I guess they figured with the success of PMD and some Final Fantasy games coming to the Switch. They needed a new Chocobo Mystery Dungeon. BUT that just means they haven’t totally forgot about PMD! So there’s that to take to heart. Maybe it’s good that they wait anyway with Generation 8 right around the corner.
