Well oddly enough I'm not joking. I'm dead serious about his name. But yeah some names can be exactly the same as someone famous. It's odd, funny, and awesome all at the same time

I have to admit, Latias would be a nice name for a girl. But yeah, I wouldn't name my kids after Pokemon. When they grow up and find out what you did, I don't think that'll end very well.

Imagine having a nickname of Ty and learning at age 24 that it's short for Tyranitar.

...I'd kill for a name like Tyranitar, actually.

I mean, I don't think having your name be the same as a Pokemon's is quite the same as having the name of a fictional character who is human or at least has a relatively normal-sounding name. The latter is considerably less awkward XD

Honestly, I'd never name any child of mine after fictional characters unless it was either by total coincidence or the name was mundane-sounding because I would not want my kid to be picked on at school. Pets on the other hand, I totally would name after fictional characters including Pokemon because they are much less susceptible to awkwardness.

Oh I know, but I just found it very interesting. Apparently he's been here a few weeks, but I've been hearing him called by his middle name (kinda like my brother and dad cause they'd rather use the middle name as opposed to the first). Naming my child would be tough cause some fictional names are awesome. Pets though would be a much better choice for fictional character names yeah xD. Kids on the other hand....yeah they could easily get picked on at school because of their name if some bully knows what it's from.

Seems more like it would suit a girl's name better. Even as Shay. Unless they're trying to throw Shayde. Maybe Shayne for a guy?

A podcast called Friends at the Table gives some really great names.
My favorites being Fourteen Fifteen, Waltz Tango Cache, and Grand Magnificent. The last being a mononym.
...This is one of many reasons I probably shouldn't be entrusted with a human life. :D
