I enjoyed Don't Starve Together, but the Deerclops attack during winter really ruins the heck out of it. If your group of friends hasn't prepared by reading up on it, preparing specifically for that attack, and getting everyone in position when it arrives, it'll just ruin everything you've worked on and I know people who have quit the game entirely after that point. It's too difficult of a boss encounter to throw at players early on who are just barely getting by in year one and are still learning how things work and how to build stuff. It's something that would definitely make more sense to throw at players later on when they've a little bit more prepared and have a better idea of how the game works and how to fight monsters and such.
Ohhhhh, but the mods make it soooooooo much more fun! We should all sit down and play it one day. I've got some really nice mods we can run a game on. Makes playing it a bit more interesting together. Certain times like winter do make the game much harder. Kinda like summer and how hot it gets in the game.
