Sloane stumbled back as the ground began to rumble. The combined effort of the Flames sent the giant moon stone through the floor and onto something below. Sloane carefully crept closer to the hole and there was no hiding the shock on her face at the scene below. There were trainers and Pokemon and… was that a legendary Pokemon Kyreum? The scene was too overwhelming for Sloane so she just stared instead of forming a coherent response.

Sloane was gladly led back outside. She would need to rest her knee before she did too much more otherwise it might stall again, which was no fun for Sloane. She started to sit down when they got outside when the ground began to shake. Sloane fell into the ground and just barely caught a glimpse of Kyreum fleeing the scene. Then it began to shower moon stones. Carwennan nudged Sloane with her snout and placed the rock next to Sloane. Sloane per Carwennan.

"Thanks." She said to the Houndour, picking up the evolutionary stone. She put it in her bag and looked back up at the sky. "we'll need that for Immortality in the future." Sloane added.

The flames from the Pokemon melted the area surrounding the stone, which had weakened from the ice crystal growth. The ground cracked, sending the large rock crashing down into the cave below. Vermillion pulled Altea back from the hole before she almost fell down with the stone, temporarily frozen from shock as the ground disappeared below her feet. She snapped back to reality and pinched herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming. It wasn't a dream.

After the dust settled, Altea crawled to the edge of the hole where the moonstone used to sit. She could make out some trainers in the cave below; they were standing dangerously close to where the rock had landed. Before she could worry whether they had accidentally crushed anyone, a sudden ice beam erupted from beneath the stone.

"Oh. My. Ho-oh!" Altea stared wide-eyed, as a huge winged dragon-like Pokemon escaped through the opening created by its ice beam.

Altea was dumbfounded by what she witnessed in the short seconds that elapsed. She absently heard a voice from below, thanking them. But she could only manage to respond with a breathless, "Y-yeah..." and dazedly followed the Clefairy down the mountain toward the others.

Outside, the unfamiliar trainers had gathered on a clearing. As she breathed in the crisp night air, Altea slowly regained her senses and noticed that tiny moonstone shards had started to float down from the sky, like large glowing snowflakes. Around them, a bunch of Clefairy were evolving. Out of the corner of her eye she saw something flying away. It was an ironically beautiful end to an unfathomable evening.

"Is anyone badly hurt?" Altea asked, as she shuffled toward the trainers. Thankfully they looked like they were all in one piece, just bruised and exhausted. She smiled in relief. Actually, she was quite exhausted herself. She wordlessly settled down on a nearby patch of cold, dry grass to catch her breath.

Zenith blinked as Max grabbed her arm, running beside him as they tried to run, but found themselves cornered. Ethan had grabbed Sou and apologized for startling her.

"We need to just get out of here..." Max said. stood out in front of them. "This doesn't make sense. We came her to try and stop Team Rocket!"

The Slowking stepped forward. "You saw the same thing we saw Max. None of you should be here... you especially! The lord would like to say sorry that time has..."

Suddenly, the ceiling above them began to collapse. A huge Moon Stone fell down from above twenty feet with the icy floor above. The impact knocked Zenith and the others back and knocked the Kyerum clean out. The Slowking seemed to be buried alive. From above, the team who had just barely escaped noticed the Clefairy and two trainers.

Max helped Zenith to her feet, and she gave him a thankful nod. He then helped Ethan and Sou.

"That was... terrifying.." he muttered. He then looked up at the two new trainers. "Thank you!" he called up. "Though I think you just killed a legendary pokemon..." he muttered, taking a few steps forward.

"Thank you!" Zenith called up to the two trainers as well. She was grateful that they had somehow been in the area and had somehow managed to help them.

Zenith saw there was no way to get up to where the trainers were. Before anyone could relax, the rubble started to shake and the defeated Legendary fired its Ice Beam to break open a secret door and flew out. To everyone's surprise this tunnel across from them had stairs built in.

Max and the others made their way around. "We'll meet you outside," he said to the trainers making sure everyone was out of the ice cavern before him.

Zenith followed the path and soon came outside with the others. She took a deep breath of fresh air, and then flopped down onto the grass. "That... was... insane!" she said.

Max soon appeared from the tunnel and took a few steps, then dropped down onto his butt to relax.

The two female trainers were guided back to the path to meet with them by some of the Clefairy.

Before Zenith could greet the duo, the ground started to shake beneath them. The center of the highest peak then exploded, and Kyurem flew off into the night.

All around them stones fell down. Zenith quickly shielded herself, but then noticed something odd about the stones; they were Moon Stones! It was literally raining Moon Stones!

Zenith smiled and picked up one of the stones, putting it in her bag. I can use this to evolve either Igglybuff or Nidoran once they evolve, she thought. She then looked up at the two female trainers, smiling. "Thanks again for saving us back there. You came just in the nick of time," she said. "I'm Zenith Brunel, nice to meet you two."

Sou blinked as she was grabbed by Ethan, when Max stated that they just needed to get out of there. She frowned, they had tried that before and they had been promptly stopped by the rampaging dragon god. She didnt look up, but could feel its presence, peeking up for a mere second before looking back down. That was more then enough for her to see what was likely to be the end of the line, fear plastered on her face. Was there…nothing else they could do? Was this really how her…their journey ended? The same Slowking spoke up again, saying that none of them should have been there, that it even was apologizing for what it was about to do. She closed her eyes in anticipation for the worst, finding herself even grabbing a handful of Zenith’s clothing nearby when she reached over. Her breathing stopped as she braced for the more then likely direct attack when the ceiling above them collapsed. Something large had fallen from overhead from somewhere above them that appeared to be some kind of stone and frozen ground. It was big enough to create an impact that knocked her as well as everyone else away back to the wall of the cave, grunting. She didn’t see what the impact had done to that dragon, but it was clear its attack had been stopped because of the cave in. In fact, it might have taken the brunt of it and if they are lucky, it might have knocked it out.

Sou exhaled, still a bit in shock, taking Ethan’s and Max’s help to stand back up. He muttered about the experience being terrifying. To be honest, she felt even that was an understatement. Was that what people often referred to when people see their deaths before them? Light….or was it life flashing before their eyes? She didn’t remember, nor did she really care about it at the moment. Max seemed to bounce back from the incident pretty easy though, thanking whoever caused the cave in and even mentioned the possibility of them actually killing that dragon. She wanted to thank whoever was up there too, but felt a bit too drained to thank them properly at the moment.

”Hey…how about…we make a rule not to open strange and ominous doors….?” she muttered as she looked around the now destroyed cave. Everything seemed to be relaxed now, despite the situation they had been experiencing just moments before. ”We just need to find an exit now huh..?” she thought when the rubble around them began to shake. ”what now?!” she thought when that same dragon from before emerged from the rubble, a sinking feeling in her stomach. However instead of attacking them, it fired off an ice beam through the rubble and then escaped, leaving a path for them to escape though. ”….I didn’t expect that……” she muttered as the path he fired open for them even had steps carved into it. She made her way around with the group until they were finally able to leave the ice cavern, saying he’d meet them outside. ”Fresh air!….” she exclaimed as she finally came out of that place. She didnt think she’d see the outside again at the rate they were going in there when two girls appeared to be guided to them by some Clefairy. She blinked at fist but then smiled. ”These must have been the girls that helped us in that last moment. If not for them….our lives would have been lost…” she thought as she looked between them. ”Thank you…so much for your help…we were really in a bad situation back there.” she said when the ground began to shake yet again. What could it have been this time? Sou looked down at the ground when something hit her head. ”ow! what was….?” she uttered as she reached up and took a moon stone down from off her head. She tilted her head and looked to see it was raining stones around them, some of the Clefairy evolving into larger forms when one managed to touch them. ”what are these…?” she whispered as she held the stone then placed it into her bag.

"Nice to meet you all," Altea reached up and shook Max's hand.

Altea scratched her cheek and blushed slightly, embarrassed that they could have blindly caused a huge accident. "Oh we didn't do much. I'm just glad things seemed to have worked out somehow," she answered Zenith, letting out a soft laugh. "You'll have to fill us in on what just happened because I certainly can't make sense of everything."

She dusted herself off and introduced herself to the rest.

"My name is Altania; just call me Altea! The girl I'm traveling with," she pointed toward her friend, who was currently putting her moonstone away, "is named Sloane. We're actually on a quest to fin--"

Altea stopped mid-sentence as a realization dawned on her. Could it be? "Wait a second... Did you say your name was Max?"

She tilted her head and looked at Sloane, and then back at the boy beside her.

Altea didn't actually know what the person Sloane set out to search for looked like, but surely he was that Max. How many Maxes could there be in the world? She grabbed the end of Max's vest and excitedly pulled him toward Sloane. She gestured toward him like someone proudly presenting their science project. "Look Sloane! A Max!"

Altea introduced herself first. She was a little awkward in that first but sweet. When she came back and grabbed Max's vest and started pulling him. He looked back at Zenith..

"A group of criminals called Team Rocket stole a key from the Pewter Museum," Zenith said. "Max and I were sent to get it back, but we failed. The key apparently opened a secret lair of Kyurem, and he attacked us. We were almost done for when you broke through into the chamber."

Zenith winced as she gripped her sprained arm. "Ugh... all that craziness made my arm worse... looks like it's gonna take longer for me to heal now... oh well..."

Suddenly, one of the new girls, Altea, grabbed Max and pulled him over to Sloane. "Look, Sloane! A Max!"

Max then looked back at Zenith, grimacing. "Uh, help...?" he pleaded jokingly. He then turned to the other girl, Sloane. "Can I help you, Sloane?" he asked.

Qeb stood next to Zenith, relieved to finally be done with the task. He was concerned about her arm, looking at her worriedly. "Ivy, ivysaur?" he asked.

Zenith looked down at Qeb, smiling, hearing the concern in his voice. "I'll be okay, buddy, don't worry."

Qeb nodded, relaxing a bit.

Sloane had not been paying much attention to the introductions and what not. She might be considered a socialite, but that was only really with people she knew. Introductions never were her thing and after what all just happened, Sloane's brain was sparking in indecision. She kept analyzing these past few moments, specifically the time when they all saw Kyreum. She would have to tell the Kimono Girls about it in a letter later. They'd want to know for sure.

"Look Sloane! A Max!" Sloane was shocked out of her thoughts at the sound of Altea's voice calling her name. She blinked a few times at Altea and Max before the sentence settled in. Sloane immediately scrambled to her feet. "Ah hi! I'm Sloane Jackson! I'm one of the Kimono Girl trainees in Johto. I've been charged with bringing an egg to a man named Max, which leads me to my question. Did you used to have a Ho-oh for a partner?"

Sou found herself still trying to smile as best as she could at the girls. It wasn’t that she wasn’t happy or anything, just exhausted after that ordeal, but still did her best to make sure she at least sounded thankful. She really was and normally, she’d probably attempt to hug them, especially that Altea girl. Something about her just made her want to hug her…or was that weird? When she explained that they’d have to explain what happened, Zenith was pretty quick to jump on that question. She nodded in agreement to Zenith’s explanation. ”Its as Zenith here said. We were just about to be vaporized when you guys dropped that rock down” she said chuckling, this Altea girl introducing herself. ”Ohhh. Altania. Altea. Thats such a pretty name.” she said smiling a bit wider then before she introduced her other friend, a girl named Sloane. Sou was about to introduce herself after Altea finished speaking when she happened to stop mid-sentence and then seem to stare at Max. ”Uh…my name is-“ she muttered just as seemed to take Max by his jacket, exclaiming to her friend that they had “found a Max!”. She chuckled a bit as she watched, Max even joking about getting a little help. It was a bit funny to watch, but she walked over. She felt a little bad about not introducing herself just yet so took the time then. ”I know you’re a bit busy with Max at the moment, but just wanted to at least introduce myself. He did say my name before but I’m Sou. Its nice to meet you girls” she said chuckling. She then turned as the Sloane girl introduced herself and asked if Max once had a…Ho-oh as its partner. ”Ho-oh…?” she whispered.
