Im thinking early quests will be way more simple. Having full teams with legends is a cool idea but the pokemon are to strong. I think that will be higher up the notch on possible quests. Because super powerful pokemon causes the world to warp and the villains need to be even stronger.

    OF COURSE!

They're dreams! Why would you restrict yourself? You could use the thread to try out super-strong Pokemon from a wide pool, mixing and matching up combinations for a potential team-building exercise (literally). More challenging sidequests should feature stronger foes, of course, but that doesn't mean the heroes of these don't pack a punch of their own. While I'm at it, more challenging sidequests do not equal the player character having a super-strong arsenal, or being able to USE that super-strong arsenal. One I had in mind was a brutal obstacle course of battles that require you to figure out the best possible route in all battles, or you fail immediately, done by the biggest bada** in all of GCeA, severely lacking in power and skill.

They might not also be in situations typical in GCeA. Another one of my ideas had Craig and some other guy dream they'er the protagonists-Hero and partner respectively-of the PMD Explorers series, going through the first dungeon!

    Lovely.

More advanced tokens=harder sidequests and better items, correct?

    Awesome.

So, is the Token Progression (assuming six) Mareep-Munna-Flaffy-Musharna-Ampharos-Cresselia?

Also, I just thought of something: Since Ruby's strategy is brute-forcing it and Sapphire's is more stealth-oriented, maybe the challenge in each can be different? The battles in Ruby would be many and fierce, and would be about finding out how to worm into weakpoints and capitalizing, while Sapphire, avoiding the brunt of the forces, has to deal with FAR less battles, but they wind up with a lot less healing, making it more of a survivalist puzzle?

GCeA's Gaming elements could be, at times, summed up as 'Survival Puzzle Horror,' the Horror aspect typically coming from Shadows/The evil teams worst stuff. It's rather mild Horror, but still. Ruby would be focused on the 'Puzzle,' while Sapphire is focused on the 'Survival.'

Dream pokemon :) you are a step ahead of me. I had been thinking about some Dream pokemon Drowzee, Umbreon, Darkrai but the ones you gave me work as well. I had not thought about a standard set of pokemon coins until right now.

Really the question is should there be a set of standard dream coins or Dream Coins made for specfic missions. For example a Magby token for a pre made mission.

The six I gave are for the singles, Cresselia being hardest and Mareep being weakest.

Gastly, Drowzee, Haunter, Hypno, Gengar and Darkrai would be a set for doubles (as in, two people in the same quest), Darkrai being hardest and Gastly being weakest. The Gastly line comes to mind because they have Hypnosis, Dream Eater, and Nightmare. Obviously, Doubles are harder.

Umbreon really isn't related to dreams...:P

    Savvy?

Also, did you see the edits I made to that post?

Hmm pre made coins, the initial idea was to have the coins represent different regions. I wasnt basing it on pokemon that learned Dream Eater and Hypnosis.

For example it would have been like

    Drowzee, Gastly, Gegar
    Mareep, Noctowl, Umbreon
    Ralts, Gardevoir,Lunatone

Really it was just an idea. I like what you presented as a set of standard coins.
