Definitely agreed. PMD requires you to be more resourceful and it leaves just so many darn cliffhangers from beginning to end!

I'll admit, free world games are fun also. I've been playing Mad Max lately and that's a great, free world style game that encourages you to explore. It's a bit slow to start off, but once you get to Jeet's stronghold, it really starts to pick up. It really has nothing to do with the movie besides featuring the same characters, world, and style. If you're thinking of playing it, I can give you a few tips and pointers.

It's true. The story is amazing in the PMD games. I've had friends turn it down because it looks too "kid friendly." I just laugh and try to explain it's.....just a bit darker than that. That along with just how amazing the soundtrack.

I've heard Mad Max was good. Just need to hold off on spending too much for now lol. I got a code with my laptop for MGS V. So once I get it back from the repairs I got to give that a try. Only problem is, I've never played even one MGS game. So I'd be jumping into the story blindly lol.

    The time is upon us...

PMD soundtracks are definitely good. It's not all that kid friendly. Parts of it can get pretty dark.

I did see MGS V was released, but I'm not that great at those games. I'm horrible at stealth missions in general and would actually prefer an escort mission over them.

*jumps into conversation* Honestly, I have a large library of games I like, from most game styles, but I've never played any of those games either (though I do find references to them everywhere on youtube). My gaming experience is... Limited, to say the least. I'm always behind on technology, so I'm never up to date. Unfortunately, that also means that my pokemon experience is limited. (I've only played two PMD games, my first pokemon game was Diamond, the earliest game I've actually owned is Emerald, and I haven't even made it to Gen VI.) However, I will agree that the soundtracks are amazing, even if I do prefer the Fallout 3 soundtrack because it's all 1961 or older music XD

"He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'... he's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'... he's hackin', wackin', choppin' that..." oh, sorry, was trailing off again there. And yes, definitely looking forward to Fallout 4, but I hope my computer can handle it. Doesn't seem like they've rammed up the graphics too much, which I'm fine with. Otherwise I would probably have to knock them down a bit anyway. Not everyone runs quad-Titan video cards. XP

Seems like most people I've talked to about it are shocked I didn't even touch ORAS. I dunno, I find it already kind of bland that Pokemon mainstream games recycle the same formula, so when it's just a remake of an already recycled idea, I'm just not that into it. I tried Soul Silver and I was like... blah, been there done that. And the original Hoenn games were good, but I wasn't a nut about them.

I don't have any way to play it myself, I need to use other people's systems since the only game system I have is a DSi that broke so that it won't hold a game, and I don't play games like that on a pc, I prefer playstation.

HeartGold and SoulSilver were my first journey into Johto and Kanto. I honestly would like to play ORAS because I haven't played many pokemon games and that's my favorite region (it holds most of my favorite pokemon).

My first journey games... the original Blue version, back when I was 17. Initially, before even playing the game, I wasn't too crazy about Pokemon and the whole prospect of owning virtual pets was a sour experience after having dealt with a Tamagotchi (don't know how I got suckered into getting one of those). Then my brother and his friends were thinking of playing it and talked me into it. I was like, eh, alright, it did seem at least a little bit better than that annoying egg-shaped abomination.

Here I am, 33 now, and still playing Pokemon games. There's been times where I've tried to leave it behind and move on, but... AH, THE WITHDRAWAL!!! If I try to drop it, I miss it, and then they release a new game and I'm like screw it, I'm back, let's fire this up again. It happens constantly.

XD Well, I started acting it out when I was little, my mom 'grounded' me from in from then (probably still in Gen I) until about the time Gen III ended.

I got into Pokemon mainly thanks to my brothers. They were "the cool guys" with the Gameboys and the Pokemon games, so I was always looking over their shoulders as they played. Makes it a little hard to pin down which was my first gen, since they let me start (but not save) on both their FRLG games and in their ERS versions. I never got any real taste of Johto until heartgold and soulsilver. But I took a real Liking to Emerald, and especially Rayquaza. Then, when I finally got my DS, 4th gen had just come out and I got Pearl.

So the question is, is my first gen gen I/III thanks to my brothers, or gen IV because it was the first one I actually own? Either way, Sinnoh and Hoen are by far the best regions. Never could put one over the other, but both were best. Practically all my favorite Pokemon come from those two gens.

I'm a dragon-type trainer, and Sinnoh and Hoenn are the two best regions for finding dragon-types and draconian pokemon (for instance, Tyranitar).
