You enter the Superplex Shopping Centre West and head straight to Bone Dry Cleaners, where you see Elton the Grotle tending to a customer near a display of suits. You wonder to yourself briefly how many Pokémon have a need for a dry cleaners, and how much business this store would get. As the customer finishes up and leaves, you take your chance to approach the Grotle.

You introduce yourself, using eloquent speech to inform him that he must, by the law of the legends, hand over the client list that he withheld from your teammate. You explain to him of its importance, of how you need it in order to stop the Stalkers, and that you have been specially trained in handling exactly this kind of thing. You inform him that the client list is an integral part of the investigation, and by handing it over, the entire city would benefit from his good deeds and charitable cooperation.

After a short speech, the Grotle seems rather happy to hand over the list, despite any confidentiality impediments. He also looks somewhat chuffed, as if he's certain that he will directly be a help to the Stalker investigation. He unlocks the drawer behind the counter and slides out the client list, handing it to you.

Object =Client List= was noted in the Team Records.

"I'm glad I could be of help," Elton says enthusiastically and you thank him for your time, and depart.

You're sure this will lead you one step closer to the Stalker who occupies the dungeon found at the abandoned electrical substation.

You decide to pay Maknon a visit. You find him at his apartment on the fourth floor of the Brook Heights Building. He seems quite depressed, but he seems a little cheered up when you introduce yourself to him.

"Hi Katzu..." he mutters, looking a bit unwell emotionally. "Did you... need something?"

You explain you're trying to uncover more information about the Stalkers. He nods, sighs a bit, and then looks away. It seems as though he's having a hard time focusing with something that's weighing him down, but he decides to try and be helpful and polite despite his depression.

"Well, I don't know if it's directly Stalker-related," Maknon tells you. "Yesterday, I wanted to get some laundry taken care of at the Clean Tumble over at the Eastbound Shopping Center, but I found out it was closed. It's a shame. The owner, Derran the Furret, is always such a nice guy and we'd have nice chats all the time while I took care of my laundry loads. He's really gentle and a bit timid. I guess the Stalkers really scared him and he fled town, running for his life. I miss him already."

He looks down, feeling a bit lost in thought before he looks at you again.

"I don't think he would have minded, but I went inside and used the machines," Maknon explains. "They're all Unit card-operated so I was still paying for it even though Derran's gone. Well, I was looking around, bored with no one to talk to while I did the laundry and I found this... sword hidden between the wall and the last machine on the left side of the store. I know that couldn't belong to Derran. Derran wouldn't hurt nobody and he hates weapons. I tried to grab it and get a better look at it, but the second I did, oh my god, I felt like something just... evil bit my paw! I... must have fallen asleep or something, because I had a nightmare of Pokémon just getting... butchered! When I woke up on the floor with a trembling sweat, I... just grabbed my stuff and ran. Half my stuff was dripping wet but that thing nearly scared the life out of me. I haven't gone back there since."

"If that was a prank, someone really needs to be talked to," Maknon explains with a bit of grouchiness in his tone. "That's not funny. Derran would be really upset if someone did something like that. He tries to keep the place nice and friendly and I know he wouldn't want something like that in there. I don't even know how it works but someone's up to no good."

"Well, that's really the only strange thing I've found lately," Maknon tells you in a somber tone. "Listen, I don't want to force you into anything, but I could use your help with something if you wouldn't mind. Just... let me know if you think you're up for it."

He sighs and just decides to rest for a while, though it does seem like anxiety has been eating away at him lately.

You find Mindu in the Silvercoal Fitness Centre swimming pool, which is occupied by many Water-type Pokémon and a few non-Water types. You can see that some sort of exercise class is happening and Mindu is the teacher, so you wait for it to finish. She instructs her students to swim a dozen laps of the pool after spotting you, then swims over to the side of the pool while you crouch down. You slip into the water so that the two of you can talk at eye level.

"Nice of you to test the waters and come on in!" she grins. "Look, I ain't saying I ain't willing to work with you people, but I do have a class to run, so make it snappy."

You assume that Mindu found out about the Emissaries through some other means and decide not to bother introducing your mission to the usual extent. Instead, you introduce yourself personally and ask her what she knows about suspicious activity.

"I have a pretty strict schedule, Marta," she tells you, "so I don't get to see a lot of my friends and family. What I do see of them is nothin' but the usual. Aunt Fran is always goin' on about that gang of Sharpedo in Coral Reserve, mama's carryin' on about how poor my brother's life choices have been, and my brother, well, he just keeps makin' bad choices. My dad ain't got time for us no more, what with his other family and all." She rolls her eyes. "But you heard enough of that! You want something juicy, dontcha? Sorry to break it to ya, but I've got little to nothing to offer you." Her eyes quickly wander to a tentacool who seems to be lagging behind. She turns from you and shouts, "DON'T BE A SLACKER, GERI!" and then turns back to you. "Heh, gotta give 'em some tough love, know what I mean?"

"Anyway, I should be gettin' back. Got another five classes to do today and they ain't cheap for these poor suckers. Ain't that right, Julie?!" she shouts, and you hear a vague response from a Wailmer. "Oh, and one more thing: there's something creepy near the Running Track if you wanna go check that out. All of us have been too hesitant to go near that thing. Well, that and look at me! Ain't no legs here!" She cackles at her own joke and then turns serious again. "Alright, get a move on. I got students to attend to."

Balek Manufacturing Plant is beginning to fall apart. All you needed to do was hover into the lobby area to find out just how broken it is, and you can't help but wonder why it hasn't been torn down already. The structure of the building still maintains integrity, but not enough for the building to have been overlooked for demolition. You figure that it simply wasn't important enough of a task for the local council to worry about yet, especially during the time of the Stalkers.

You begin to float about, wondering what this abandoned building holds after discovering some important findings in the last. You head to the first floor, then the second, and keep going. At floor 5, you can't help but feel drawn to a room filled with dead, collapsing, disgusting equipment which has clearly been rotting for the past sixteen years. You continue to float through the room, illuminating it with your flame in addition to the small amount of light filtering in through the window.

The strange sensation increases until you come across a split in the floorboards which you almost missed. You snap your mind into shape and focus for a second, noting that between the floorboards you can see something. It's stoney and has been carved into a specific shape.

You regain your bearings and slip through the gap, just small enough to squeeze through, and come face to face with a flute. The flute emanates a goulish vibe which sickens you to your core, but you know that this has some relation to one of the statues that your teammates discovered, so you scoop it up and fly out of the room.

Item [Foolish Flute] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You then quickly scanning the upper floors before escaping the building with half your sanity intact.

Excuse me, I heard that you may have found a strange object recently. I was wondering if I could take a look at it, if it's not too much trouble. You see, I've been looking into the stalkers that have recently appeared, and your object might be a vital clue.
Oh, and if you know anything else about the stalkers, anything at all will be helpful.

    Interview: 99. Torqueal the Ampharos
    Interview Rapport: VERY POSITIVE
    +1 Shared Pokémon Type (Electric)
    +1 Shared Pokémon Evolution Stage

You find Torqueal outside his workplace by the front entrance of the Calstone Medical Offices. He's enjoying a cup of coffee and the afternoon sun when he sees you arrive. You introduce yourself to him and he nods politely.

"Greetings, Fir!" Torqueal smiles to you, waving to you with his free hand. "How are you?"

You ask about the strange object that he found recently. He nods, wondering a bit about how you found out about it, but he believes due to the fact he has been talking about it with other Pokémon, word must have gotten around.

"Yes, yes, let me show it to you," he smiles, reaching into his leather messenger bag. "It's quite the fascinating thing. Never have I see anything like it."

He takes out a circular white metal plate out of his leather bad. It has a kind of glow to it that seems to radiate a kind of holy strength and it's unlike anything you've seen before. He shows it to you, and then using his hand, he draws lines in the metal, and for a moment, they appear to be engravings but shortly after, they are filled once again, like drawing lines in a jar of honey.

"It's like metallic liquid, but it's not!" Torqueal tells you admirably, drawing squiggle lines. "There were times when I drew a line and it persisted, but when I drew another one, everything faded. It's like a puzzle or something like that."

"I've spent a good few hours looking into it, but I'm still not sure what exactly it is!" Torqueal tells you with a kind of sparkle in his eyes. "It's complicated and I just don't understand how it fully works. Now, I'm only a psychiatrist, but I did have my friend Turren look into it. He's more into the scientific fields. He ran tests on the metal, but he couldn't determine what kind of alloy this was, or at least that's what he told me. That makes it even more mysterious! He thinks I'm being a bit foolish for being interested in it and he even recommended I should just put it back where I found it, but I couldn't do that. There's just something so compelling about it."

He sighs with a gentle smile, but then he looks up to you.

"This mystery is beyond me," Torqueal tells you. "I could spend a hundred years with it and never figure it out. Unfortunately, I'm too busy to keep playing with it. Maybe you could do me a favor and take it? See if you can figure it out where I couldn't. You'd actually be doing me a favor by taking it and allowing me to focus on other things!"

He hands you the circular metallic plate, and as soon as you touch it, you sense an aura of holy strength coming from it. It helps boost your morale a bit.

Item [??? Seal: <???>] has been added to the Team Inventory.

"Oh, please let me know if you find anything about it!" Torqueal smiles to you. "I would love to know what this thing is really for if you ever find it out!"

You nod, and then inquire if you've heard anything else regarding the Stalkers. Despite the grim nature of the subject matter, he nods and tries to keep a positive aura.

"Yes," he nods. "There was something I found yesterday that bothered me. I was at the north side of the Greendash Park. It's a really nice place to take a walk. Usually the kids are out playing games after school and it's a great place to buy a snack or ice cream. Lately it's been very quiet though. The vendors aren't around as much anymore and a lot of the fields are empty. So, I was walking along the playing fields like I usually do and for a moment, I saw what I thought was a glove. It was underneath one of the bleachers. I thought someone must have left behind a glove by accident but..." he then swallows hard, "...when I went to go check, I looked and the hand was... still inside. Someone even preserved it in a plastic bag! Why would they do that!? I dropped it and left in a hurry. I tried to call the police station twice about it but the lines have been busy all the time."

He then takes a deep breath and sighs.

"Fir, if you could do me a favor... it might be a good idea to look into that," Torqueal tells you, trying to remain optimistic despite the grim finding he came across. "That... I wouldn't be surprised if that had something to do with the Stalkers. And I... I don't know whose hand that was."

"Well, hopefully you're able to find something that I can't," Torqueal tells you. "I'll admit, I'm not too good at handling the sight of blood. My father always wanted me to be a doctor but... well, I'm glad psychiatrists don't have to deal with blood, that's for sure!"

"Best of luck, Fir," he smiles to you as he prepares to go. "I hope things go well for you."

You find Giji at Kinny's Tavern with her two brothers, Terlo and Darru. They are packing away their band equipment as the sun begins to set, preparing to head home nice and early so as to avoid any Stalker encounters. You flag down Giji as she's helping Darru heave out his drum kit, but proceeds to drop it as she sees you. Darru lurches forward as the other end of the kit drops, unnoticed by Giji.

"Here for an autograph?" she asks, but you shake your head and explain that you are an Emissary. She looks slightly disappointed but tries not to show it. "Ah, you guys hunt Stalkers... Yeah, they're...not really something I like to discuss," she admits, seeming a little sheepish. She sighs, then heads out of the tavern. You wonder for a short while if she has left, and you're left standing there a little awkwardly. The Nuzleaf reappears, to your relief, and you're surprised to see something in her hands--a rolled up parchment, it looks like. She holds it out to you, but doesn't let go. "I found this walking through Silvercoal City West the other day."

As you reach out with a hoof to grab it, she pulls it away from you, shaking her head. Her leaf flows back and forth as she says, "I can tell this is valuable... Sorry, but I'm not going to just hand it over to anyone. I'm going to need...two Verve Syringes if you want this," she informs you with a cheeky grin. "It looks like part of a book...but this is just one page."

"Well, anything else you want to ask me?" she wonders, signalling to her siblings to wait until she's done before they leave.

You ask her about Cinci's aunt, Clementine, and if Giji knows anything about her whereabouts.

"Cinci and I are close friends... But unfortunately, I have no inkling where Clementine is. I know her pretty well. Cinci doesn't have other family here in Silvercoal City, and Clementine is great. She's such a great Pokémon..." She trails off, looking sad. "I really hope someone finds her soon. I know she liked hanging around the Rusto Memorial Plaza, and I heard you guys found something really bizarre there..." She glanced to her teammates, who were beginning to look impatient. "Anyway, I gotta split... See you when you have those two Verve Syringes," she says with a slight smile, which turns somber. "Good luck finding Clementine. It's good of you to offer."

You wonder if there's another way to get her to fork over the page, but if there is, someone with the ability to convince her would have to give it a shot.
