" Another 10 nap.." He joked.

"What about we find a place to practice battling more before heading to the gym to battle." He said pausing.

"I could use a distraction." He continued.

He cut his pancakes into little recognizable pokemon shapes. Then began to make dino sounds as he consumed them.
"Oh no!!" Watch out Panchamp.

He said lifting the panchamp shaped piece up into his mouth. He then froze realizing that he wasnt alone.

I woke up and wanted to stretch but knew the stitches on my back would make that painful. Instead, I limped stiffly out of the room, carrying my bag with me.

As I walked out I saw Max sitting at a cafe.

"I will be there in five." I shouted to him, as I made my way towards a fast food restaurant. Because of the traces of Beedrill venom I felt nauseated all last night, and had no appetite. Now I was starving.

Five minutes later I walked out of the fast food restaurant with a bacon and egg toastie, five hash browns and an apple juice. I never really liked coffee.

I made my way to where Max was sitting with my bag of deep fried goodness.

"You guys in as much pain as I am?" I asked half jokingly.

"Hell yeah!" Max began, rubbing his arm. "But I need to get out their and give it another go," he said, finishing his food.

"Anyone looking for some practice battles can come with me. Viridian Forest should be crowded with trainers at this time," he informed, walking over to put his tray on the cleaning rack.

Max walked out of the pokemon center, stretching out. He continued down the road until he reached the sunny Viridian Forest entrance. Max paused for a moment looking out over the grassy field. It was hard to believe such beautiful place could mask such horror. As he stood there, he felt dizziness overtaking him once again. This feeling reminded him of the moment right before the attack. He could see people moving around but they were too blurry to make out. Why couldn't he remember that moment?

Get Pokemon, check. Get breakfast, check. Get training in the forest that nearly killed them all, check, however dumb it was. It was a training spot. As long as they didn't go too deeply in.

Max cautiously walked back into the Viridian Forest he waited for the others to catch up. The trainers were not met by any warning signs. No one passing them seemed to even be worried about beedrill. There were trainers running around all over the place.

Max looked at Markus.
"You should do pretty well with that turtle of yours..." Max laughed

Zenith followed the others into Viridian Forest, anxious to start training. "I'm excited for this gym battle. It's my first step to becoming a top trainer like my dad. Once I'm stronger, I want to challenge him and see how strong I really am," she said.

After a while of walking through the forest, a small group of Weedle appeared.

Zenith froze as she saw the yellow worm-like pokemon, a chill running down her spine. "Weedle.... why Weedle?" she whimpered. She now feared that a swarm of Beedrill would come at them at any moment, but nothing seemed to happen. That didn't mean they weren't there, though. She made no move or effort to capture or go near the Weedle, wanting nothing to do with the bug-types.

I saw the weedle and was tempted to catch it. However, I was in too much pain to do it, and with the major disadvantage I would have at Brock's Rock Type Gym, I wanted to spend more time training my other Pokemon to be ready for it more than catching other Pokemon. I wasn't going to be that trainer who catches a Pokemon and lets it sit in the PC for months on end. It will be happier in the wild. If I need it, I will catch it. If not, then why take away its freedom?
