Released on Serebii, the next online Battle Competition has been announced, the 2016 International Challenge March. It is a Doubles Battle competition and uses the VGC 2016 ruleset, the same rules of the 2016 International Challenge January. Two of the following Legendary Pokémon may be used per team: Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal and Zygarde. The following Pokémon are banned: Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Diancie and Hoopa. The Blue Pentagon rule applies. Pokémon not captured or hatched in X, Y, Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire are also banned.
Registration begins on March 17th through March 24th, while the battles themselves begin on March 25th through March 27th. Players will be limited to 15 battles per day. All participants will receive 2,000 PokéMiles and top ranked players will receive CP (Championship Points) to help them earn an invitation to the annual World Championship.
