Pokemon Present has just finished and we got a new game!
This new game is called Pokemon Unite where players will be able to take part in team battles in a DOTA/MOBA style. During this game they will be able to play and battle as several different Pokemon including Charmander, Snorlax and Lucario. There will also be the chance to evolve some Pokemon like Charmander into Charizard.
Below are some words on what to expect from Pokemon Unite.
Pokémon UNITE is the first strategic Pokémon team battle game. Players face off against each other in five-on-five team battles. During these battles, players will cooperate with teammates to catch wild Pokémon, level up and evolve their own Pokémon. They will need to defeat their opponents’ Pokémon while trying to earn more points than the opposing team within the allotted time. Pokémon UNITE will be free-to-start.
Players are expected to join five players teams with the overall goal to earn points. One of those ways to earn points is to capture Pokemon that are on the battlefield. There will be several Goal points where players can go to heal. Though, they can be destroyed by the other team to earn major points.
This game features a few new mechanics and ways to play. One of those new mechanics include Unite Moves. Each Pokemon will have a different Unite Move. Some Unite Move will be able to do tons of damage. Other Unite Moves can hit multiple targets at once.
Your Pokemon can learn quite a few new moves as you battle on the battlefield. The moves your learn will determine how you battle. May it be to focus on long or close range attacks.
Other things to consider is using tactics where you surround your opponent or sneak around.
Pokemon Unite was developed with Tencent Games’ TiMi Studios. This game will be on the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. There is no word on when this game will be release.
