While Anime Expo is going on in California, a smaller con focused on the fandom here in the Midwest was also displaying its best and brightest! Anime Midwest, with over 5,000 badges sold this year, is in it’s third year in Rosemont, Illinois, near Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. We were there to snap some pictures of avid cosplayers from the Pokemon Fandom!

A great Jigglypuff impression, especially with the microphone!
This is one of my favorites. I’m a fan of the lesser cosplayed people and Giovanni is one of those great ones. Gym Leader, Team Rocket, cool guy… what else could you ask for. He even has a gym badge!
Kids are just cute!
One bonus about smaller cons? Free food. That’s a lot of cup ramen that my friends would definitely enjoy. Trouble is? I actually was there just to snap a picture. There was about 100 other con goers waiting to get grub.
