The logo and set description for Double Crisis has finally been released. This mini-set will include cards focusing on Team Aqua and Team Magma. Below is the description of the set:
Two teams of villains emerge from their hideouts to clash over the fate of the world in Pokemon TCG: Double Crisis! Team Aqua brings sheer brawn and willpower while Team Magma leverages logic, and both are willing to move land and sea to accomplish their goals. While Team Aqua’s Kyogre-EX rampages against Team Magma’s Groudon-EX, their rival ambitions could change the Hoenn region forever!
The descriptions confirm that Kyogre EX and Groudon EX will be part of the mini-set. Though, it described the two Legendary EX Pokemon to be “Team Aqua’s Kyogre EX” and “Team Magma’s Groudon EX” as if they belong to their respective teams. This will be similar to how Trainer own Pokemon have been done back in the original EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua. It is only speculation at this point but it could be handle similarly to the recent Plasma sets where “Plasma” wasn’t in the Pokemon name but was on the cards to keep players running up to eight of the same Pokemon.
Double Crisis will be released in Japan on January 30th and in the United States on March 25th.
