Fates Collid
Fates Collide has now been officially announced by Pokemon and it is promising to bring some worlds together. Powerful new cards will be entering the Pokemon TCG such as M Alakazam EX, Lugia BREAK and Zygarde EX.

Plenty of new cards will be help shape the Pokemon TCG as Fates Collide adds a new chapter to the XY BREAK block. Below is the set description:

Reality shifts and is remade in the Pokémon TCG: XY—Fates Collide expansion! Mega Alakazam-EX sees the future—and shapes it to unify two worlds! The Legendary Pokémon Zygarde arrives in many different Formes to bring order, together with Lugia BREAK, Mega Altaria-EX, and Umbreon-EX. Fates are sealed, and two Pokémon worlds join together!

The Pokémon TCG: XY—Fates Collide expansion includes:

Over 120 cards

5 new Pokémon BREAK featuring a recently introduced game mechanic

13 new Pokémon-EX, including 3 Mega Evolution Pokémon

120 new cards will be entering the Pokemon TCG. One of the biggest new features in the set is Basic Pokemon with the ability to BREAK evolve such as Lugia BREAK.

This set will also feature plenty of new support for Psychic type Pokemon as they rally around M Alakazam EX who does more damage based on the number of damage counters on your opponent’s active Pokemon. Alakazam EX can help put damage counters down thanks to it’s Kinesis ability which places five damage counters on your opponent’s board upon Mega Evolving.

Zygarde will be making his TCG debut in Fates Collide with several cards. The most notable version of this Pokemon will be Zygarde EX who will be taking his complete form. He has three attacks which does increasing amounts of damage as you attach an energy to it. The assault doesn’t end there as Zygarde EX has access to one more attack thanks to Power Memory. This Pokemon Tool gives allows Zygarde EX to use an attack call All Cells Burn. This attack does 200 damage to your opponent’s active Pokemon at the cost of all the energy attached to Zygarde EX. This attack is powerful enough to knock out any Pokemon who are not Mega Evolve. This is similar to Genesect EX from Plasma Blast who had access to G Booster thanks to an Ace Spec. You also can expect to see some support for Zygarde EX in this set to help him set up quite quickly and recover from his powerful attack.

Fates Collide will be release on May 2nd in the US. It won’t be legal for tournament play until May 23rd. This means players will be unable to play with cards from Fates Collide until the third weekend of Spring Regionals.
