I totally think you should rock a Shaymin costume for Halloween. Let your inner Pokémon out and take action!

Meh, that's a shame. I'm pretty sure everyone would love to see photos of you as a Shaymin! XD

And yeah, I keep running into situations where I wish I had the skills to sew stuff. I have a slight idea about how it's done, but I've never done serious sewing work before (I made a shabby plush football in seventh grade, but I don't think that really counts). I do know that a lot of it is about lining up seams, stitching along those seams, and then ultimately turning the whole thing inside out so the stitch-work is hidden. I think I would still need to definitely take some kind of class or mentoring thing to really get going with it, though.

My mom is actually very skilled at sewing and has offered to teach me, but we have never had the time to sit down and practice. Hopefully we will during one of my breaks from school.

Do it. Trust me, I wish I could still learn sewing skills from my mom.

I got you, that's totally understandable.

In the meantime, we've got leaves falling everywhere. I'd honestly rather pay someone to take care of them than to spend like four hours doing it ourselves. If we split the bill, it'll be much easier to cover the cost. But yeah, in the meantime, the house needs to be cleaned, also.

I'm thinking maybe this is why people live in dry, desert-like climates. No snow to shovel, no leaves to rake, no grass to mow! I think it's the heat that would nail me, though. XD

Not a fan of heat. I'd rather be living in Wisconsin right now.
