So, I have plenty of Halloween costume options, but so far, no actual Halloween party to go to.

I think I'd better start looking for something around town. Usually things get pretty wild on Halloween night around town.

That's too bad about the Halloween party. Currently I'm working on my latest weekly prompt piece. Then I'm going to do a Halloween piece hopefully. If not, this can certainly count. It took on quite the life of its own though. The prompt was "try something new" and it's turned into an exorcist guiding a half demon through hell. I can't wait to finish this though, because I love how it has developed so far and I can't wait to see the end.

That does sound interesting. Do they have some kind deal going where the half demon agreed to stop raising havoc if the priest agreed to help them find the way back to hell?

Kind of yeah. In the universe this takes place in half demons are quite common but the problem with that is, if they're the children of powerful demons such as Astaroth or Lucifer, when they come into their powers they lose control because they cannot maintain dominance over their powers resulting in either their power completely consuming them and burning their bodies to ashes or an exorcist killing them. This particular Exorcist though (who is a girl) has found a way to give half demons a second chance to control their powers, which is to be escorted through the outer most ring of Hell. Legend says that anyone who can do so successfully causes their soul to grow to unimaginable power levels, and this Exorcist has traveled through the outer ring many times. The only problem is, her clients have only made it out successfully once. The rest became trapped in the outermost circle.

This is actually based on a really old concept of mine from like four or five years ago. The story was drastically different but the premise is still the same. To simplify it, exorcists live in families, due to the traits needed to become an exorcist being genetic. The oldest member of the family trains to become what's called a Guardian Exorcist, which is a special type of exorcist that specializes in all fields of exorcisty, including Hawker (WOP is gun), Calvary (WOP is sword), Canticle (WOP is biblical verses), Medic (treats demonic wounds and diseases), Summoner (WOP is familiars). In addition, they also get the marking of a saint, which means that they bear a symbol on their body that links them to their patron saint and become very strong weapons against whatever demon that saint is said to be fatal to. Anyway, the premise of the story was that a Guardian class exorcist whose parents were killed in a fight with a demon ends up showing kindness to a half demon resulting in the two becoming close friends and eventually falling for each other.
